Wade and Rondo in the same backcourt seems like a trainwreck waiting to happen.

If Miles doesn't work out here, Hoiberg might be looking for a job soon.

Makes for some decent water cooler talk this time of year, but at the end of the day when the dust settles the Bulls will still be really average and will still be zero threat to Cleveland, so they probably better hold off on getting their ring fingers sized. Rondo on a one year contract tells me the chances of him finishing the season with the Bulls, and on good terms, probably isn't in the cards and they know it.

Neither make any sense. Butler is your best player, why sign two guys who can't shoot/space the floor and will take the ball out of your best player's hands?

Why? Because the team with the best players still wins. Just because the media has finally learned the term "spacing", doesn't mean that the game has changed any. Spacing has been a central concept to the game of basketball for 50+ years. And it's a copy cat league with teams admiring Golden State and it's "death lineup" which wouldn't actually be worth a damn without the two top shooters (now top 3) in the league happening to play in it.

Chicago now sports a pretty fair lineup. Patchwork? Yes. But if Hoiberg can pull this team together, I like Rondo and Valentine running this outfit with Lopez inside, Wade and Butler doing their thing and all of those shooters off the bench including Doug McDermott.

Im glad the Bulls are a mess. I live here and any Chicago sports circus is fine by me. That said, if Wade stays healthy, they will be competitive.

Don't think Hoiberg has much say so in the personnel decisions.

I'll agree with that. Bringing on Rondo isn't exactly a great way to gain control of your locker room. That said, Hoiberg isn't a tough coach to deal with. If Rondo can't act half way normal in Hoiberg's system with Wade to play with, then he'll prove that he's totally hopeless.
