What does Walkertown bring to the table this week? I know they are 0 - 3, however they have been playing larger schools.

The WSJ said they are very young (only 7 seniors.) They lost a lot of the 2015/16 kids. What they got up now are young with little experience so they are learning as they go.

They played Lexington well for a half before Lexington got a big pick 6 and they shut Walkertown out in the 2nd half. Besides that they have taken their lumps the last couple weeks. They got speed and some size though; it'll be a good game potentially.

I think this will be you folks's biggest test until Wilkes Central at least.

they are not the team you lost to in the playoffs but they'll have some skill players and the coach is good

Walkertown will not be phased by EW speed. Records can be misleading. Walkertown has played tougher competition and has came away with lopsided losses. Things can play out a couple of ways. 1) Walkertown could overlook EW as a pushover and get smacked in the mouth. 2) EW can come to play with revenge on their mind from the shellacking they took in last years playoff loss to Walkertown and get another win in their column. I don't expect a lopsided win by either team. This will be the best 0-2 team that EW will face.

They are down but, i really thought that this game would be close, based on Walkertowns other opponents all being bigger more athletic teams. They really weren't prepared for EW. Walkertown is still athletic especially in open space. There D had absolutely no answer tonight though.

They still have some talent but I think they would finish in the bottom half of the MVC, this season anyways. Still the Cards did what they needed to do. Slash may have to move them up to number 1. Their only real tests remains are the other county schools.

Glad to see Wilkes county teams making a little noise collectively. They took their lumps for yrs but have been poised the last couple of seasons to compete and expect to win.
