Usually I can stand filler episodes because it helps the story down the road, or gives a new dimension to a character that we haven't seen before. Kind of like the standalone episodes of the Governor showing him bombing around on his own. We understood him a little more after those episodes.

With that said, the Tara episode did none of that. I don't care about her any more than I did before, and I didn't care about her much to begin with. Not really sure why she was even deserving of her own episode. She could have died on that bridge to ***** Island, and no one watching would have cared.

It is getting into Lost territory how they are handling episodes. One week it is centric around one character, the next week, someone else with a whole new sub-story behind them. I know why they are doing it, trying to show there is a much bigger would out there than just Rick and the Saviors. They are just doing a ****** job in telling that story.

If Coral wanted to really kill Negan he would've just ****in shot him when he walked around behind the truck and had the gun pointed at him [eyeroll]. Stupid characters doing stupid **** again.

That chapped my azz that he didn't pop him...Lucille in hand with Negan's back to him how many times...Kept waiting for the lil one eyed bastid to cold cock him with his own Lucille..Also was expecting Coral to get "eye socket poked" by Negan when he unwrapped that thing..3 let downs for me..again I'm chapped!

Yea it was the perfect opportunity. Obviously Coral doesn't care about dying, so why not just shoot him there and kill like 5 other saviors? It's stupid. Coral is just stupid. Negan acted like hiding behind a savior would be enough cover. He could've just shot right through everyone, but nooooo.

Carl lacks the depth perception to pull that off.

Now you're getting it.

next thing you'll wonder at the end of this Negan drama, "Why didn't they kill Negan instead of imprisoning him"?

Great question. because you can't have a double dose of Negan screwing your group again later in the story if you don't imprison him and give him an opportunity to escape. Killing him would be too damn simple for this group of morons.

Just wait till the scarred face guy turns his allegiance on Negan and becomes Rick's ally.

I've officially stopped watching this ********.

Tara episode=worst ever
Thought it sucked, but needed in order to give a look into a group that later may join forces with Alexandria against the saviors. Couldn't not have that episode and then for the season finale have Tara say, "Ohh look here are a bunch of crazy bit**es I found walking through the forest."

No, but you also don't throw a character we give zero ***** about out there to carry an entire episode. Tara could have gotten killed/bitten/had a bamboo chute rammed up her cooter and spit roasted for dinner on Bulldyke Cove and no one would have cared. Sasha/Maggie/Carol/Rosita all make more sense for someone to carry an episode. Being that three of the four are busy with their own ****, Rosita could have easily found Twatlicker Inlet while scavenging for Negan some more stuff. As we all have already stated, just some awful writing this season.

Last night killed me when Negan had Coral holding Lucille and turned his back to the little ****. You have the balls to go on your own to kill Negan, take out two of his men, and know it is basically a suicide mission; yet you don't have the fortitude when he's given you the weapon he killed two of your friends with, is alone in the house with you, and has his back turned? God himself just gave you a written invitation to murder this fool, and you don't even move. Yep. Another reason Coral is top on my murder list on that show.

it's basically poor writing. lazy writing to say the least. hell i usually refuse to use capital letters because of sheer laziness, but i think i could put more time and effort into these plots than these a holes.

This show has really sucked this season, it's like they turned it over to someone else. It wasn't bad enough carl didn't kill Negen with standing right there in front of him, carl has just got done giving a speech that he was the only one he wanted to kill. I guess Jesus needed to find some water to walk on since he disappeared after jumping out of the truck.

(Kinda Long)

The really bad thing is when they were interviewing Jeffrey Dean Morgan (Negan) for The Talking Dead about the Negan and Carl episode, he mentioned something about it will be interesting to see how things develop between the two characters over the next few years. Please God tell me he was saying that to throw off the fans from an impending Carl death. I can't take a couple more years of that one eyed son of a moron.

I swear they are using the letter W to describe the storyline each season. It starts with a very good first episode and then drops down over the next few episodes. As the mid season finale approaches, it slowly climbs back up to form a V. Same thing for the second half of the season. So the ratings end up looking like this VV. Can they ever improve on the first episode or do they just shoot their wad and it takes half a season to reload?

They seem to be heading into an interesting direction after the latest episode. Carl's dumbass could have killed Negan twice. Rosita has a bullet in her gun for Negan. Michonne has her Katana ready to kill Negan, but might be headed to the Sanctuary instead of Alexandria. Rick just found a houseboat possibly loaded up with weapons, but does he have the guts to use them or will he turn them over to Negan?

So there are potentially a lot of people that are ready to kill Negan. That doesn't even count all these other groups out there as well. I don't see an all out war happening in one episode, but maybe Negan will kill Carl or Judith in front of Rick and bring back this guy to lead the rebellion.

Or this one.

Or this one.

My hope is Rick comes back and Negan cracks Carl's skull in front of him and drives away with Judith in tow. The episode ends with Rick crying over his son's corpse and then looking up with that crazy Rick stare. Then they will spend the last half of the season organizing all the groups for an all out offensive on the Sanctuary. I also wouldn't be surprised if Negan uses Carl to screw with his dad by getting him to join his ranks.

comic Rick was much better than tv show Rick. this group would have been better off with Shane leading. and Rick dead. at least Judith would know her real dad. and he would have been ruthless. he was injured on a run with a fat guy. being chased by zombies and he cut the fat dude and left him to the herd so he could escape. that's survival. the eye of the tiger type ****. Rick he goes on mental breaks and hallucinates and can't handle the heat. makes stupid decision after stupid decision. give me sociopath Shane any day.

I actually enjoyed the last episode more than any other this season except Episode 1. A ****ing tiger? Get real
We've got zombies, people driving cars around when gas would no longer be usable, and people getting fat with no food. But a pet tiger is where it gets unbelievable???

Your butthurtness about the gas must end. Whether you are right or wrong. I think most of us can let that one slide compared to other dilemmas. There are more pressing issues....like why haven't we seen Maggie naked, why hasnt carol baked anymore cookies, will there be an awkward pause when Ezekiel/michonne meet bc of how similar they look, and let's see some Tara t!tties.

I think the gas issue is just for convenience. I'm sure they could have diesel engine vehicles only running on cooking oil but it's just easier to show random cars and not spend time on the how.

Besides they couldn't have had that sweet Hyundai sponsorship money otherwise. Maybe Tesla needs to advertise electric cars charge by solar panels as a legitimate Zombie option.

So far I think the governor was a better villain than negan on the show. The problem is I'm not scared of negan, hes too cartoonish, his dialogue is way too long and his control over others is not convincing. Therefore when Rick looks terrified around him I don't feel empathy for him, I think he's a little *****.

So far this season, Carol and Morgan: 1 episode, Maggie in what 1 episode?, Daryl has been a background piece in like 3, Rick maybe 3 episodes. And the thing, no one has ever been like, well I wonder where carol is or wonder how Maggie is holding up. Since the time line is all over the place, how much time has passed? it's just a mess.

That's been a popular theory among the comics universe for a long time. That Rick waking from the coma is actually his conscience going into the coma, and all the people he's encountered are either parts of his own mind coming to life, people he's encountered, people he arrested, or victims he couldn't save.

I don't know how this show will end. They are about 1 to 2 seasons behind.

I mean, what do you expect them to do to figure out what is going on? They went to the CDC, they didn't have a clue other than knowing that everyone is already infected. Now they are just outside of D.C., and it has fallen. As much time has passed since the outbreak, finding a cure or knowing what is going on is probably a lost cause. There's many things I fault the comics and the show on, this isn't one of them.

And as far as Rick bombing around from town to town, I just finished compendium 3 of the comics, so I am up to issue 144. Carl and a couple of guard dipshits are the problems there. Carl not being able to

directly lead to the confrontation with the Whisperers. All because he couldn't let go of his first piece of stankfinger.

Herod. I would be trying to figure what's going on. I'm sure there is someone in the U.S who hasn't been eaten by zombies to get an idea what's going on. Anything would be better than their current plan. Going to city to city, only to be herded by a Negan or a Governor type makes zero sense to me.

Goddamn Eugene makes bullets, so put him on cure control.

Eugene also admits he his just a high school science teacher who doesn't know jack **** about the infection. He just used Abraham and Rosita as a means to get to D.C., because he figured it would be the safest place in the US.

Plus, they aren't going city to city anymore. At the end of their fight with Negan, there is a time jump in the comics. I believe it is three years. So Rick and crew have pretty much settled down at Alexandria, Hilltop, and the Kingdom, setting up a trading community between them. They aren't bombing around aimlessly looking for the next place to bed down anymore.

However, if they were to be looking for a cure, they would have to do just that. No one in the group has a clue what is going on, all they know is that everyone is already infected, and death is what turns you the bites just make it faster. They would have to find a place that had equipment to work on a cure and find someone that knew what they were doing. Either that, or one theory that's been floated out there is one of the children born post-outbreak gets bitten and doesn't turn. That somehow they have developed antibodies to the disease.

Like I said, I don't have a problem with it. I think it is actually a good thing we aren't focused on a cure. It is something different to see that they have accepted this reality, and are trying to move forward with it. They can always visit the cure story when they wrap up the comics, if they want to give some sort of happy ending.

haha, I was kidding about Eugene.

I see your point. But while they have stopped roaming from town to town, it's still the same predictable sequences that happen whether they are roaming or finding stability. I can predict what will happen to the gang before it happens.

For me, they need to break that cycle. I want to see focus on finding someone smart enough to figure out what's going on. While I know the whole premise behind the show is based on the relationship between humans in an apocalypse and the zombies being the background, I'd rather see something intelligent being done with it's characters.

I like that idea of the anti-bodies theory.

I do admit it is predictable. You can guarantee Rick and Carl are gonna get out of certain death alive, and you can see the antagonist plot their own downfall. I will admit though that I got caught out in left field at the end of compendium 3. The last panels of all the people Alpha killed with their heads on pikes got me, especially the last two. Even when they killed Glenn in issue 100, it wasn't shocking because Kirkman pretty much telegraphed it before the issue was printed.

The whole thing with the Whisperers is creepy, allowing your own daughter to be raped because it "makes her stronger", and basically adopting a Wolfpack mentality, just weird.

However, here is where predictability comes into play. Since introduced to Alpha and the Whisperers, the rape thing has been brought up over and over. Guess who is sitting in a jail cell right now and killed a man for trying to rape Holly. Guarantee Negan gets loose somehow, probably an attack by the Whisperers. He gets in their group because f*** Rick, that's why, sees someone get raped and murders the **** out of Alpha and a few others.
