There is absolutely nothing else to look forward to, you guys. William has spelled it out clearly for you in this very thread.
The Negan scenes in the first episode are essentially the high watermark of this entire story. If you think it's been lame since that, just wait.
To recap:
Season 1 - Fantastic. Think of the legacy this show would have left if it ended there, maybe in a miniseries format.
Seasons 2 through 6 - Absolute poop city.
Season 7 Ep.1 - Other than watching Glenn die like a pig, poop city.

Why couldn't HBO have gotten a hold of this bad boy before AMC? It could've been great. So great.
these writers did attempt to deviate from the comics, that's why they wrote that fear the walking dead crap. and it was an utter shitshow. these guys need to stick to writing comic book make believe and leave tv for someone else.
You just want to see Maggie and Rosita nekkid. If HBO had it you probably would have to see Rick and Negan's dongs as well. Unfortunately that is how they roll with Game of Thrones.

I wasn't criticizing you for it. Just mentioning a fact.[thumb2] It would have become a zombie porno on HBO with straight, gay, and lesbian nudity and sex scenes galore. Just watch Game of Thrones and substitute zombies for the armies and there you go. They already have their own undead characters though called the White Walkers.
Definitely would like to see some nude Maggie, Rosita, and Sherry. Would have liked some nude Beth, Lori, Andrea, and Jessie as well. Also Enid next season when she is of legal age.

If only that black dude had washed up on Muff Island instead of Tara.....he would be living out all of our dreams. I hate the writers for robbing us of that exotic experience.
Maybe the second half of the season will be worth watching. I'm not a fan of all this kissing Negen's ***. I'd take off and find somewhere else to live if I were that weak.

I guess they figured the intensity of the premiere this season would carry the whole half-season. In the mid-season finale, they teased upcoming violence/battles, which is what we want. But they misjudged the loyalty of the audience because a lot of people quit watching during the dreadful eps that followed the premiere.
I like Jesus. Hope they develope his character more.
I like his character also but you know when they reveal he is gay people are going to gripe some more
Haven't seen much griping about Aaron, Tara or any of the other gay characters.
That's been my problem with this season. In the books, Rick was just bending to Negan's will to his face, but as soon as his back was turned, was rallying troops to murder his ***. In the show, Rick has basically had his balls ripped off this year. I can't buy that this guy can be neutered so easily, and then lead the charge to take Negan down. Maggie has shown more nutsack in the Hilltop than Rick has since Negan wanted Asian food with a side of ginger.
One of the worst mid season endings ever for this show. Where is the cliffhanger that we are used to? They should have made the Rosita gunshot as the ending so you have to wait until February to know if she shot Negan or not. The little reunion scene was pretty weak for the ending. That would have been good for the end of the season. Having them throw a little teaser with the guy with the boots at the end is kinda lame. They have way to much going on to add another group into this show right now. It is getting hard to keep up with where everyone currently is with so many groups right now as it is.
So you want them to withhold information from us just so you can get your precious cliffhanger ending? GTFO.
Liked the last two episodes, good momentum heading into the second half of the season. Glad it didn't end on a cliffhanger. I hate cliffhanger ********.

I don't care one way or the other, but they love to do cliffhangers in this show and this was as weak as they come. So now they are going to try and stuff Alexandria, Hilltop, Kingdom, Saviors, possibly the Oceanside and whoever the hell the Whisperers are all in the last half of the season. They are just going way overboard on my opinion. I think they should have gotten further along with the alliance of the groups before hitting this point and held off on the Whisperers storyline until the whole Negan situation is completely wrapped up. Honestly though I think there are to many groups and the whole Rick and his people constantly dealing with them and moving on is played out.
It might be time to give the walkers more of a part in this show again since it technically is what the show was based on to start. The walkers always become an afterthought each season and have only really played a decent part in the show like twice in season 6 (Glenn under the dumpster and the quarry parade) and have been nonexistent through season 7 so far. They might as well come up with a cure and have the rest of the show be about fighting each other for control and rebuilding the country.

Everyone who isn't Corky from Life Goes On would know they aren't killing Jeffrey Dean Morgan 8 episodes in. That would have been the lamest cliffhanger in the history of cliffhangers. Plus, you are just 8 episodes removed from one that the fans completely **** on for six months, causing Kirkman and company to bend to their will and say that there would be no more cliffhangers like that.
Well since you love cliff hangers.....if I were you, I would turn the episode off 5 min early each week and you could have a special cliff hanger every episode!
Ratings continue to drop. Is it the over the top Negan portrayal? Or killing off two of the fans favorites?

Let's face it, the show was a big hit during the Obama era, because it seemed like our country was filled with these brain-dead zombies who voted for this black clown from nowhere. But now, with Trump back in charge, and all the sniveling whiny little zombies screaming as they lose, a time for a show like this is over. it's not reflecting our culture anymore, we are winning now and we are great again.

I thought this past episode was one of the best they've had. Loved Negan in Alexandria. Loved Daryl's escape. Loved the reunion at the end.
Don't know who the new mysterious stalker is though.
