I bet the players and owners would sign an agreement on a quickness if there was a unified front from the fans to boycott the NFL if they have a lockout. Impossible I know but it'd still be nice to see someone remind the NFL where their dollars are coming from.

more than from the incredibly overpriced tickets in their taxpayer-subsidizedcorporate playgrounds they call stadiums.<div>Even though something as widespread as a fan boycott (of what? attendance? merchandise-have you ever MET a Steelers or Cowboys fan? not gonna happen. NFL sponsors? I think the light beer and truck markets will still do okay.)would never happen, fans can do more passive-aggressivethings to show their displeasure. Like here, fans have been mailing back empty season ticket renewal form to the Bengals front office with copies of their Reds season ticket applications in the same envelope. Of course, this is more to protest a horrible front office/on-the-field product than displeasure with the NFL in general.</div>

if the threat is real. No tv viewing no fan attendance no merchandise buying for two weeks would be enough to get the point across. It's wishful thinking on my part but I can find other things to do besides watch NFL football and ESPN for two weeks. If everyone took part we would for sure have an agreement in place. I'm sick of hearing about it already and it's only been a couple of days.
