Wardlaw, I understand that you're busy with the Rivals merger and growing your business but this is/has been a recurring theme with you not corresponding with your paying site members in a timely manner. There are 4 folks with that same problem in this one short thread. Its not that much to ask I don't think. If I'm wrong, flame away.

what if rivals raises it's fee? Does that mean they could come back to a prepaid "lifetime member" and require more money?

It's not that difficult to stay connected these days. There is no excuse to not respond to an email for over 24 hours, especially if you run an internet based business.

This is not to say I'm not happy with BDJ, but this is one aspect of your business that has to change for your own good. If you legitamitely can't keep up, then designate someone else to handle this. As it was stated, this is a recurring theme.

Michael - really love the site and am glad to have taken advantage of one of the lifetime memberships, but why the lack of communication? I know you're busy with the merger and all, but like purebred said, it seems like this has been a recurring theme for some time now and I would think it may affect your business if it continues.

Just a little constructive criticism. Return your emails in a timely manner. If Greg Byrne can do it, I know you can too.

Wardlaw emailed me asking for my username so he could activate it (not RR btw). Just waiting on it to be activated now.

Still haven't heard a word... I've sent several emails over 3 weeks! This is getting old. It's amazing how responsive he was right up until my paypal payment went thru....

type of advertising you could have. What am I missing? People have paid their money and it is obvious he is aware of the problem? I have gone back and forth about doing it but this pretty much makes that decision for me.

Myself being someone who's income directly depends on the customer service and product I provide, this thread really confuses me.

I don't mean this to be rude but all the guys that have done signed up for the lifetime, have you followed the instructions or done all that is required on your end? You may have, I am not accusing any of you guys of messing up. I just have a tough time believing that a business model that requires subscribers would leave you hanging for weeks at a time.

We emailed back and forth and then he sent me the Paypal link. After I paid, I literally recieved nothing and heard nothing. I waited a couple of days and sent an email, he replied that all I needed to do was to send him my chosen username... that was the last I have heard from him, that was three weeks and several emails ago...

I can't imagine how the site can't recieve payment or automatically generate aregistration page... I have even gone to the site and entered my email address to see if it would recognize me that way but nothing has happened. I am almost to the point of asking for my money back and just continue using somebody else's login, like most people do.

I am busier than I have ever been in my entire life, and I still manage to answer all my emails. I can't fathom having a job that depends onad revenue directly related to his number of subscribers and not even being able to take the time to answer the emails... the entire situation is just weird. I'm just glad to know that I'm not the only one experiencing this.

There is a very finite group of possible customers and you would think they would be you top focus.

I certainly don't understand what they are doing, but I guess they have a way of doing things. Good luck to you guys. This thread has given me all the information that I require to make a decision about joining. I always make a point to try and support State alumni but there should be some appreciation and service tied to it. The fact that this thread even exist should be a massive embarrassment to them and should have been taken care of immediately.

I waited over 30 days after payment and sent countless emails to no avail. I finally requested a refund. The refunditself took considerably longer than it should have...... Good luck.

If I recall originally lotsa folks had hard time getting the "sign up" gifts they were promised. Since then folks can't seem to get any response after the money changes hands. Seems the best way to get a response is not to email the guy but post something in open forum here or on his site. That always appears to get a response. Heck a BDJ advertiser told me at the last basketball game they were having difficulty getting in touch. It seems to be a site with a lot of potential. I hope the administrative kinks get worked out.

that he is logged on right now, with this thread staring him in the face and he doesn't even have the decency to respond...

Maybe I should email the folks at Rivals and warn them about what they are getting into...

How else would you suggest that I get a return on my investment. Put yourself in my shoes... you pay for a service and never recieve it... you try and make contact over a period of time. Then you find out that there are a lot of other people that experience the same thing. Right now, I am out a $100 with no access to the website and no way to get a refund. Now you tell me what I should do...

The problem that I can see is there is no oversight...who can I turn to with this terrible service, no one. All I can do is keep filling up his unread email box.

You calling to "tell Rivals what they're in for" could potentially screw up a business decision for this guy. I may be wrong, but I think BDJ is his primary source of income now, right?

I understand your frustration, but to bring in a presently third party to attempt to sabotage his merger is pretty ******. Especially over $100.

You have a legitimate complaint, but take it to Wardlaw, take it to Paul, take it here, take it to other fans, potential users, take it wherever someone will listen. But don't mess up a business deal over $100. I'm sure you'll get it back anyway, Wardlaw isn't a crook.

If you're that pissed, just keep hounding him over a refund, and you'll get it back. Then choose not to do business there again. Michael will either fix this problem or lose a lot more potential customers this way.
</p> Edit: Ask yourself this, do you really feel not getting sports information access immediately is worth trying to derail someone's business?

I never said I was in the middle of typing an email to Rivals! I simply listed it as an option, and if I did send it why the hell would you care.

I agree its petty to try and sabotage someones business over $100 and no, I don't give a damn about the money. It's the fact that if I did my job this way I would be fired, and I expect people that run their own business to understand the idea behind customer service.

Put it this way, if you owned a business (Rivals) and you were about to make an investment (BDJ) wouldn't you want as much information as possible before making this investment... if he can't keep up with his relatively small number of subscribers now, how will he be able to handle a larger network; especially one where there is some manner of oversight.

Like I said, I am not reporting this to Rivals, but I guess if I do I can sit on here and ask permission of the morality police...

Guys...

I get about 250 of these emails a day since we made the announcement.

I know that the communication on my end hasn't been what it needed to be. But with what I have going on right I'm getting this done as quickly as possible.

In the end... I will make this right with everyone.

If you need to send me another email... [email protected]. I'll be sitting in front of this computer all day so I'll get a response to you as quickly as I can.

but I would have to think the management of subscriptions by Rivals would be handled by Rivals corp office. Everything is automatic. I think the management of subscriptions on BDJ in it's current format - is handled manually by Michael.
