This weekend's predictions:
Series that matter to West race:
MSU 2-1 vs. LSU
ARK 2-1 vs. UM
AUB 2-1 vs. UT
USC 2-1 vs. BAMA

Other series:
UF 3-0 vs. UK
VU 2-1 vs. UGA

Of intrerest:
Georgia is predicted to finish 27-29 in the regular season, which would mean they would have to win the SEC Tournament to get a regional bid despite having a top 25 RPI.

..baseball is a game of inconsistency & we will see a lot of inconsistency this weekend.

I appreciate him predicting MSU to win the SECW, but this time of year predicting college baseball outcomes is the ultimate exercise in futility.

It predicts 15-15 in SEC and 34-21 over all. We are 32-19 atm, so it must think we lose to Memphis.

one example would be AU sweeps, us and Bama win 2, and Ark wins 1.

That gives AU the west with us and Bama tied for 6/7. Bama "wins" and gets to play the 2nd place team in the East.

that he probably is predicting that because Auburn is on the road. He probably figures that they will drop a game for that simple reason. Which is probably why he thinks that we will lose tonight.

assuming Auburn sweeps as well. If both MSU and Ark sweep and Auburn and Bama drop a game then ARK wins the West as a result of head to head. If we sweep then we need a Bama and Ark loss to win the west. What Auburn does will not matter assuming we sweep.

for championships. If we're tied with Ark, they are the higher seed but we're both declared champions.

Sorry, but you don't get to decide who the SEC awards championships to. And the fact is, over a 30 game schedule if you still finish tied, there's really no difference in your seasons no matter what happened head-to-head. Because head-to-head is never a fairtie-breaker in football or baseball because 1 team had home field advantage.

....but not because of home field advantage. That's just dumb. <div>
</div><div>Head to head isn't accurate because it usually rewards the team who lost to a lesser team but beat a good team, and doesn't reward a team who just lost to a good team. In division formats like that, you have to find a common ground, not just head to head. Only time head to head works is in game situations, not in seeding or placing.</div>

Our current record: 33-19 (13-14)
WN predicted record: 35-20 (15-15)

LSU's current record: 34-19 (11-16)
WN predicted record: 36-20 (13-17)

Am I suffering from a case of McClurian Math Syndrome, or does that mean we both win this series 2-1?</p>

to a 4 game series with each team allowed to "not count" one of the games...

I think WN is predicting we each go 2-2.... and we'll both drop one of the losses.
