I'm not in favor of The Wall, loved the movie/album, hate the idea. I was merely pointing out that your argument was inconsistent in that the money the Corporations in Mexico are making are in fact being taxed by the Mexican Gov't. Trump could theoretically make it financially attractive for Mexico to do it.

I pointed out the US jobs that could be associated with maintenance and upkeep. Good union paying jobs I bet.

I can spin a sunny day to damn near any situation, and that's all I was trying to point out. I'm not in favor of it, I think the negative ramifications far outweigh the positive ones.

If you don't have borders, you don't have a country. Just slow it down to a manageable number that can be deported by dropping them out of a plane, kinda like the 101st Airborne.[winking]

I accidentally had you quoted in that reply to Airport. That was unintentional. I had started to reply to the quoted comment you made a while back, and I never cleared it out of the reply box.

With regard to having Mexico pay for it, I still think that's a hard sell. I'm sure they get some tax money off of those profits. That doesn't make it financially appealing to them though. That's money they could use on their own infrastructure, not ours.

Tariffs on imported goods to pay for it. Works for me. It will be cheaper than all the healthcare, welfare, SS and all the little goodies that bleeding heart liberals seem to think there's no limit to. Not to mention the depression of wages for lower end jobs where they compete. We can have skilled workers come here, it's the unskilled that tax our infrastructure.
