Take a protein spray to the face from Oregon is funny. However, Minnesota's line is nice in Pass Pro and I think we should buy them all. No way Minnesota can compete with our new found NIL capabilities. Always thought PJ's first wife was more attractive than his current wife.

I remember Jerry Kill slammed PJ during a radio interview. Talked about how his ego got out of control when he took the Minny job. How he left his first wife and kids to start a life with a former stripper.

don’t know the validity of the second part of that, but hilarious stuff nonetheless.

Why do these rich guys get married? Just **** her and hang out when you want to hang out...why have that hassle waiting for you at home when you are making 500,000 a month.

If you are doing it for the sacrament, great. But if you are doing it just to get married, why bother?

Kill hates him. I think they coached together at one time?

But it sort of seems like Fleck burns some bridges or perhaps pulls the ladder up, once he gets what he wants.

He is in weird spot. Minny has no fans and no real money. They also have no expectations. So he can stay there forever but he also seems to hate it.

I've heard it said that someone is going to buy a complete offensive line or some other unit. I'm not sure that it's ever been done in any sport, yet. I think John Cook said once that he thought a big school would buy a starting lineup in volleyball one day.

It really grinds my gears that Minnesota puts a W next to us on the schedule in sharpie. FFS, its MINNESOTA!

Oregon showed how to beat these slow down burn the clock keep the score close, you put your foot on the gas and don’t let up and have a defense that can make a few stops.

You can start by having your QB go 27-30. I was also amazed at how young Oregon is.

Man, I would take Uageleili and especially their DLman Bear Alexander in a NY minute.
Can't imagine plugging two guys like that into our DLine, you talk about national championship type defensive unit.

Becoming a major college coach is like winning the lottery. The "best coach" in college Ryan Day came from New Hampshire, knew the right people from New Hampshire, became an assistant at OSU and fell into the head job. There were many opportunities for him to fall off and have to become a high school coach or low college level coach. Just like anything, only the very top level guys can act like Sheiks, the rest are as vulnerable as we are and don't want to end up alone. And they make a lot of money, but being a sugar daddy to a younger girl is exceptionally expensive. Girls over 25 aren't going to just sleep with you for fun anyway and girls under 25 want to be compensated. I think it is actually difficult to find a new partner once you are famous, and not one that just takes from you until you are broke.

The key to a successful marriage is to find your old lady when you’re both young and from similar socioeconomic points of view. You grow up in it together gradually. Assuming you have similar values and aspirations, you’ll be OK.

It’s fun to look at the floor models that come out each year, but don’t let your imagination get the best of you. It’s fools gold

Unfortunately true. Relatives in MN are always shocked and pissed off when Nebraska occasionally beats Minnesota.

The first part is 100% accurate.

The second part, well, most men will never know.

I think that is true, and was Dingle's point.

A starting line-up can be bought in different ways.
No it wasn’t - John Cook said that a big time school could buy a starting lineup - that’s completely opposite of us. We recruited all of our starters from high school and developed them - if anything, we have had many players “purchased away“ by other teams ( Texas, A&M, Penn St, etc.). Our starters probably have a high NIL and they deserve it, but don’t confuse that with buying an entire team of transfers for a starting lineup.

Watching him work the refs against Oregon, credit where credit is due. The dude is definitely a ‘quick twitch’ kinda guy.

That is fine. We can disagree.

Would be nice if Nebraska could beat them next go around, getting the doors kicked in by them earlier was crazy bad. I hope the staff has a bit better prep going for next week, a very winnable game.

Last nights starters:
Allick - HS recruit
Jackson - HS recruit
Sigler - HS recruit
Choboy - HS recruit
Murray - HS recruit
Reilly - HS recruit

so no.
How much did we pay Jackson and Murray to come to NU? We’re paying all of them and have been since NIL became a thing. I doubt other schools have the NIL budget for volleyball that NU does.

But Nebraska was great at volleyball - and at VB recruiting - long before NIL. Of course Cook was able to incorporate NIL into the mix, because he (and Terry Pettit before him) had already built an exceptional program with exceptional fan and booster support.

Apparently you prefer coaches who use lackluster NIL as an excuse for being perennially mediocre.

PJ is a bully that likes to flex. If you aren’t tuff, he’s going to hit you and keep hitting you. If you are tuff and you smack him back, he will back down you can smack him around all night.

we don’t have the leadership mentality to stand up to it.

PJ can be a bully, punk, coach with a big ego, whatever, until we can be him all he has to say is "who's your daddy".
