Watching replay of Texas TSUN game

I was sitting on the 50 and was surrounded by Texas fans. And, yes, Manny's defense was horrible.
The bears are finding a silver lining in the fact that they scored 30 pts. But while texas' defense was fast/talented they didn't seem very disciplined. That could be because their offense was keeping them so far ahead and they were lapsing in their concentration.
This is just dumb. Or course there were Texas fans dispursed throughout the stadium, but there was not over 5k of them total. And yes, i was there also. Just simple math tells you that the max amount of Texas fans would have been around 8k. There were 61k people there and we have so far averaged around 52k, so assuming the Ole Miss fans did not come out in mass for the game there is your number. Unfortunately for your numbers, the OM fans were there in mass, so there were not that many UT fans in the stadium.

I sat next to a Texas fan and had good conversation. There were a couple of grown men acting like children behind us cursing etc... but I've witnessed a lot worse at Vaught Hemingway. Ole Miss is about two years away if they can sign a couple of decent recruiting classes. They have improved since last year, so that's a step in the right direction for their program.

You keep your bearing and you don't make an *** of yourself while wearing that Uniform. He's probably like some food service guy. He is a Gunnery Sargent with 16 years of service and wearing jump wings. Our country has been at war for 10 years in two different countries and he doesn't have a combat action ribbon. I would have said something to him and many other Marines would have as well.<o

></o>First off, Big D is exactly right. That Marine showed zero military bearing. He loses his right to personal opinion and emotion when he puts on that uniform. We even know that in the Army.
Secondly, any State fan that is not taking Ole Miss serious this year needs to think back to Mullen's first season at State. Ole Miss is not very deep or overly talented, but they are much more motivated and they have a head coach that understands the rivalry now. If we take them too lightly, we could easily lose the Egg Bowl. Do I think it will happen? No. I don't think Mullen will ever let this team show up unprepared for an Egg Bowl, but Ole Miss is not going to go quietly this year.

I was pretty disappointed in the Marine making an *** of himself. When they originally had the camera on him and he kept yelling all of the classic USMC catch phrases "Hard Core Baby!! Do or Die!!!!" my first thought was that he is probably associated with the NROTC program. Those guys that get forced out and have to find some way to finish up their 20. I can see him as the guy that gets off running around yelling at ROTC and acting like the bad ***.

I agree on the Egg Bowl.....
They will be highly motivated and I'm not sure it's possible for Mullen to have us jacked for this game, after we've beaten them 3 straight times. I still feel like we win because of their lack of talent on defense. But we can't screw around and fumble the ball 4 time or something (Chris Smith).

I think it's easy to get our players motivated for the Egg Bowl because our fan base is so motivated. There is no doubt that Freeze will have the Rebels ready for that game. It's going to get more comptetitive just because their coach is now circling that date just like Mullen does. They also play a style of offense that will give us fits.
