The goat blood shed on that field in sacrifice for good luck could fill the gulf. There were 10 different times Alabama could put that game away, plus that tying td by Auburn was a hair from being illegal forward pass. Hope karma is a bit h to them this year.

Yes. When people say they were not lucky, I point simply to the fact that Alabama had about 3 missed FG to put it away. Then, the run back.

Georgia is obvious. They should have lost that game. I don't care if they were up big, the 4th quarter counts. Comebacks aren't nearly as unlikely as miracle hail marys when the WR doesn't see the ball until it floats into his hands.

Texas A&M: If Johnny doesn't go down to injury, they go down 17 and probably get blown out. Yes, that's the way football is, and by itself this game wasn't necessarily luck, but when you look at the whole season's events, it just fits right in.

Against us.....How many chances did we have to put that game away? Marshall completed a pass to himself for heaven sake. And picked up his own fumble and ran it for a touchdown. Maybe reversed, but still, you can't make the **** up.

Washington State gave them all they wanted, if I remember right.

All said, Auburn was an 8-4 team. It would have just been a shame had they beaten Florida State. They may be poised to make a run this season, but considering what they lost and luck swinging backwards, I predict 9-3 at best. Much like MSU, Auburn always chokes with expectations. See 2003. Nobody expected a thing from them in 2004, 2010 or 2013.

If one has any belief in mean reversion, Auburn should go 4-8.

or 6-6 or best case 8-4. I think I heard a stat last year where in the last 18 games decided by 1 TD or less, Auburn was 16-2. The closest team to that number was Bama at 12-6. Most other teams were .500 or less. Unless the war eagle tiger continues its magical ways, something should change to the negative. Of course now that an MSU fan has said this, they will go undefeated.

I'm glad you said this because I watched that replay too and am still mad that no flag was thrown. It was an illegal pass, but not because Marshall was past the LOS. It was illegal because they blatantly had linemen downfield blocking.

This is what I hope they crack down on this year. Everyone praised Auburn for this run/pass option attack they had and how hard it was to defend. Well, yes, it is hard to defend when they are illegally running the play. Why is this a big deal? Well, if certain defenders see OL blocking past the first level of defenders, then it is a key that it is clearly a run and so they play the run.
