We’ve been beating up on terrible teams all season. Purcell needs to toughen up our non conference schedule. Playing half the SWAC does nothing to prepare us for SEC play.
What are you talking about? I’ve remarked all season that there’s noticeable difference in our offense and ball movement this season vs other seasons. We’ve just regressed in this game to how we’ve looked in previous seasons with a lot of one touch possessions and hero ball. Could be panic against a superior opponent, but we just look bad.
Believe me, I would much rather we weren’t playing like sнit against a top 10 team.
That soft as Charmin Non conference schedule lifted everyone’s spirits.
This game is an indicator of how young we are. Nwaedozi’s defense is unable to stop anyone. Where is McPhal? No offense or defense from her. But Oklahoma is really good. Their defense has pushed us off our spots. Lampley and Francis have a lot to learn. On the positive side, a good azs whipping is sometimes the best teacher. We have to work harder.
I've been thinking the same. The lazy lob passes are being picked off and the OU girls are down the court shooting uncontested layups. Watching film the girls will realize they were shooting too hard and not playing their game.

Being at home is easier for young players. We have a few days to work on mistakes a watch game film and three of our next four games are at home.
They don’t even try to box out and rebound. Just crappy basketball from what looks like an uncoached team.
Yep, how many McDonald's All Americans do we have on our roster? Their Center makes up for a lot of mistakes.
Purcell is as lost as his team is right now. Stands around with his arms folded because he doesn’t know what to tell them.
That was one of our big wins (top 10 then too) at home last year, certainly remember their HC as well 
. Disappointing we'd lay that big of an egg this year.
Be fun to see OK and Iowa State face off at some point to watch Beers and Audi Crooks go at it. Those are a couple of large (and athletic) folks.

I doubt this game is an indicator of our women being this bad. Occasionally you play really bad and if it happens on the road against a really good team you can get embarrassed real quick.
Anybody remember a pretty good Mississippi State women's team getting beat by 60 in a Sweet 16 game? They almost won a national championship the next season.
I kinda think a game like this early may do them some good. It was always really likely to be a loss. And that's what it is, one loss.
