Abomination is putting it lightly. We could possibly be the worst defensive team behind the plate in major conference college baseball.

I don't understand why we don't just let Collins DH, and Walker/Randolph catch. We've benched Collins after one inning.

Cohen has to make finding a catcher a priority. We can't go into next year with any current catcher behind the plate.

How are Garner's catching skills?
He showed a pretty good arm in the scrimmages I watched.

I thought walker did a good job back there

I thought walker looked good too. I just wish Collins could get it together. We already have an out with Britton in the lineup, but he's needed for defense. No way you can not have Collins bat in the lineup. So, if he's not catching you gotta have him at DH, meaning we got 2 dead bats with Britton and walker/Randolph. If Vick is in that lineup we got 3 dead bats.

Don't forget Detz who is, I think, hitting slightly worse than Britton now. .240 vs .239 last I checked. Britton has actually been pretty solid by this teams standards the last month or so.

I get what your saying about Detz. For me, I like him at 1st because I feel like he is a more difficult out than Rea. And yes I realize Rea hit a big HR yesterday. But Detz is much better at getting on base. If I'm Cohen, I go walker behind the plate, Detz at first, Britton at 3rd (his glove is too good), Collins at DH and a whatever combination of Armstrong/brown/Henderson in the corner OF spots.
