some of you might be screaming retread but the dude was let go4 years removed from a Final Four with 3 appearances in the NCAA tournament after the FInal Four appearance, and had the most success at Indiana than any other coach in the past 25 years.

Stan Jones is in his 50's and should not be mentioned for the job per Coach34, as I thought Stricklin was only looking at candidates >40.If weare going to be looking for candidates in their 50s thaen give the job to Kermit Davis IMO.

Kenny Payne has been a 3rd string assistant for 5 years. He has no business being the head coach at Mississippi State University .If those are the 3 left, what a joke of a coaching search

I dont have the list off the top of my head, but the only people who make more than Kenny Payne as an assistant in college athletics are Kirby Smart and Chad Morris of Clemson. Todd Grantham and Payne make the same amount. There may be someone Im leaving out, but the fact that hes making over 700,000 at Kentucky says a lot to me.</p>

Bobby Knight won the 17ing National Championship in 1987. 25 years ago. He then proceeded to make the NCAA every year except maybe one until he was fired. You don't remember the Calbert Cheney, Damon Bailey, Alan Henderson, Jay Graham days? IU had the number 1 team in the Country and were the #1 seed in the tourney in the year Henderson tore up his knee just before the tourney started. Trust me on this one. Mike Davis is an atrocious coach and what makes him completely unbearable is how smug he is towards his fanbase. You DON'T want this guy.
