They are going to key on the run, defensivly, just like they did to Lattimore, and shut it down. And Mullett is going to shread our secondary. Unless we get some picks for points, it ain't gonna happen. </p>

it was pretty disheartening to see what Arkansas did to a pretty good Ellis Johnson defense.

we seem to usually do pretty good with the vertical passing defense. It's the swing passes and screensto the flats that worry me. We seem to have a real problem getting of our blocks and then wrapping up against the bigger receivers. Both our corners are good about ball hawking, but they can't seem to tackle the receivers on short passes which end up gashing us for big yardage or a TD. I think we will get the run game going again. I don't if anyone else noticed this, but it seems like the last few games Relf has been handing the ball off more on the read option. Several times it looks like either he isn't making the correct read or the coach has been telling him to hand it off. I can remember a few times that looked like if would have made the correct read and kept the ball he would have been gone. I understand he won't make the correct read 100% of the time but it would help.

Someone on staff at least needs to explain to Banks how to defend the 1st down marker on 3rd and long. an uncontested 16 yard curlon 3rd and 15 is just inexcusable, and we've seen it all year.

I was surprised as anyone with the way we handled SC, but in all fairness, Lattimore was hurt, and SC was not mentally in the game (looking forward to Florida). I'm not sure we got their best shot.

At any rate, the game Saturday should be a good one.

Run the ball as much as possible and shorten the game. More option to Bumphis coming across, Ballard up the middle, and Perkins to the outside

Lately Arkansas has been about as scary as a gorilla with a chainsaw for a penis.<div>
</div><div>Alabama & Auburn are fortunate to have caught them when they did. If they keep playing like that, I don't think State (or LSU for that matter) are going to be able to stop them.<div>

Auburn rushed for 330 yards on them, 140 passing. You cant compare our offense to USC. I think we could put up 30 on their D.

The biggest problem with our Dis with our attacking style. If they usequick passes and utilize theoutside of the field, we are in trouble. We dont have enough time for our blitzesto be effective. That's one reason we had a problem with UAB. They used bubble screens and quick developing plays right at our corners. Bama scored twice on plays that got the ball outside quick. Our corners have to step it up or it will be a long night.

With all due respect, there's only one Cam Newton. Thank goodness because he torched the Arkansas defense. And hopefully the SEC officials do not hand over 2 free TD's again like they did vs. Auburn (AU fumble at goal line ruled TD, UofA ruled fumble instead of down returned for TD).

If you take away the Auburn game...

Arkansas defense has given up 140 points this year in 9 games, or 15.6 ppg overall.
Arkansas defense has given up 99 points in 5 SEC games, or 19.8 ppg.
No team has scored more than 24 on the Arkansas' defense.

Hats off to MSU if they can score 30+ (and that might very well happen).

They are a run first spread offense. They run the zone read option from the spread.I never said we did it as well as them. I just said the type of offense is similar. Notice the word similar.

My numbers say all lower half of top twenty-five teams must lose for Dawgs tostay in polls. Trying to be positive.
