It's nice and all that the university of ole miss has had a magical, wonderful season upsetting four BCS-level schools this year. However, it still doesn't take away the fact that The Mississippi state University is not only the premiere program in the State, we're a year away from competing for National Championships. We're 7-0 against Mississippi schools the past four years and I expect the streak to continue, kinda like the way The Ohio State University hasn't lost to an Ohio school since 1921.
Now it's true that university of ole miss fans have won the "Egg Bowl Recruiting Trophy" the past 80 years. However, there's only one reason for that- Bear fans buy more recruiting magazines and subscribe to more recruiting websites than 98% of the other NCAA programs. If they tell the truth about Bear recruiting (that they're always around 40-60) they know they lose TONS of $$$$$$. Also, criticism sometimes leads to tires being slashed, or poisoned pets, or burning........letters to the editor (hey, even I know Bear fans aren't dumb enough to burn crosses, DNA leaves too much evidence).
I see The Mississippi State sleepwalking through the first quarter, but after they awaken they should pull away to an easy victory. I say 31-20.
