the worst 5 in the SEC.... Sets up for a big year for us in the SEC if we can scratch some wins off against OM, Arky, Vandy, and LSU

Totally agree...

But when we start 7-8 in SEC play, don't jump off the ledge. We are going to finish 12-3 and be in first or second overall.

I saw a photo over the weekend of Boo Ferriss standing next to his bat at Dudy Noble and a banner hanging above about the sec titles we have won. It just reminded me that next spring 2014, it will have been 25 years since State won the regular season SEC. Just amazing.

Hands down the #1 goal for regular season is to earn enough wins to lock up a regional host. National seed would be the ultimate, if possible, but sometimes you don't need it to host a Super (e.g. Starkville Super 2007). Conference championships are just gravy. Come postseason, anything less than a trip to Omaha, and another serious run at the championship once we're there will be a disappointment for me.

19-11 won the SEC two years ago. I doubt it would win it this coming year, but to say there is no way is a little exaggerated.

It's been 25 years since our last SEC baseball championship. So yeah, it's way past time.

That's fine, but we call ourselves a baseball school and 25 years without a regular season title is embarrassing. Imagine if Alabama football or Kentucky basketball went 25 years without a title.
