a shame that we gave ourselves no wiggle room. gotta win 8 of 10 OR win the big ten tournament. a very tall task but we’re not dead yet

7-3 and two wins in the B10 tournament. Harper's absence for some of the losses should be a consideration. Or maybe even 6-4 and 3 wins in the tournament.

7-3 if five of those wins are among these six games: Michigan (home, away), @Maryland, Illinois, @Orgeon, and @Purdue.

Committee doesn’t care about the Conf tourney unless you win. 14-15 losses is hard to get you in

CBS loves ratings. Unlike in past years where the NCAA & CBS loved to swat us away, have to believe this year they would bend over backwards if we were close.

Could see them salivating over UConn or St. John’s v RU.

Dare to dream.

They don’t consider that stuff… but other premise is exactly what we need

No.

if RU goes 7-3, which puts them at 18-13 (11-9), I think they will need THREE Big 10 tournament wins - and even then its bubble and sweating (would be 21-14, without any quality wins OOC, but with 2 Quad 3 losses OOC).

6-4 the last 10 and RU has to win the Big Ten tournament. Even to the finals (4-1) would put RU at 21-15 - probably not good enough.

Assuming they get the bye with 18 wins, it might depend on who they play that first game. Good chance they get a Quad 1 game and if they win that and another Quad 1 win, that might be enough for a team the committee/NCAA/CBS desperately wants in the tournament.

Is there a wild dream where maybe Ace and Dylan are up at 2 am at some point in March watching tournament games and say to each other - “bro let’s run this back . Unfinished business “

( I know the answer is a wild and hard no. But man there is so much left on the table from this chapter. And of course if they did stay they would be leaving money On the table)

But unfortunately the only drama left of this season is either an unimaginable big ten tournament run or an unimaginable announcement of “we’re coming back”

Before we go too crazy, Ace could go 3 for 12 Saturday. His ceiling is unlimited, but it's likely going to take him a few years to bring his A game consistently

I think 3-12 is unlikely ...

...

.... no way he only takes 12 shots, even if he is missing, especially if Harper is out (unless he has a lot of foul trouble).

Perspective: He has only taken 12 or fewer shots twice this season (his 1st game, and his 4th game - vs Notre Dame).

He has taken 15 or more shots in 15 of his 19 games ... 16 or more shots in 11 of his 19 games.
