We have no chance at Arkansas at home but then we can beat UM away? Have we been watching a different Arkansas team?
We have about equivalent success against Arkansas as compared to LSU. I don't care what the records say. We've lost to far too many lousy Arkansas teams to ever expect to win that game. We have a very slim shot at winning that football game.
If our o-line pass blocks in any way, shape, or form like they did tonight, and we don't do stupid stuff, then I don't see how Arkansas' secondary has any shot of slowing down our passing game. Our defense will give up some big play, but the Ark offensive line is no where near the level that LSU, Bama, and aTm's was.
If we get an early lead of 10 or 14, Ark will quit. They know they have to beat us and LSU to bowl this year, so they may have already quit. Can we do that is the question.
I'm sorry but saying that we have as much of a chance against Arkansas at home as we did LSU away is the dumbest thing that has been posted on here tonight.
Bama hung over 50 on them, aTM hung nearly 60, UM beat them in Little Rock, Rutgers beat them in Fayetteville, South Carolina was beating them like a misbehaving stepchild today until they started packing up the equipment with a quarter left to play.
If we lose to Ark that will be a HUGE disappointment.

As long as we play with the same effort we did tonight, I think we do it. Our tackles did a good job on Mingo and Montgomery tonight. IT GETS NO TOUGHER IN CF THAN THAT. Those are two top 10 picks that our tackles hung with. We should have no problem scoring lots of points on the Bears and Ark.
I like the matchup, their secondaries are horrible and o-lines aren't near what our last three opponents have been.

We have beaten Arkansas TWICE in the last 17 years. Let that sink in. Why any Bulldog would continue to expect to win that game is perplexing to me.

Heck, and one of those two wins involved a mircale 4th and 15+ conversion and ended with a last-second field goal that is entirely debatable as to whether it made it through the uprights.

And this isn't the same Arkansas team that has beat us 15 out of 17. John L knows he is gone, the team knows he's gone, they have had crushing losses this year, they are coming off another asswhipping at the hands of South Carolina, and as soon as they get a hit in the mouth they roll over.
Hell if you wanna look at records, I don't see how you can expect us to beat anyone but Kentucky.

People were saying exactly the same thing about Auburn earlier in the year, despite their glaring weaknesses even at that point. I don't know why people would rather point to recent history against a given opponent as an indicator of our chances instead of that team's ability and performance in the current season. In a way, it's like saying a coin has a better chance of coming up heads because it was heads the last ten times.
Wrong. Our all-time record against Arkansas when they have a first-year corch is 2-0-1. We tied Danny Ford in 1993, beat Houston Nutt in 1998 and Bobby Petrino in 2008. State played with some passion tonight. They just ran up against better athletes, and still had a chance until one minute left in the game. Arkansas isn't in the class of TAMU, LSU, or Bammer. We win the next two. 9-3 isn't bad.
