Like it’s not even a joke. We need depth and competition. Because if NO ONE on the current roster is good enough to challenge Tommy Turnover, then we are in BIG trouble next year. And starting a true Freshman who is ‘newer’ into focusing on football is not going to get it done. Plus, don’t give me Transfers don’t work. They do, not at a high clip, but they can.

Will Gardner, 6’5” pocket passer would be perfect. Bridge the gap until O’Brien.

unless eaton is signed and can take the reins day 1?

That has the feel of "He's not gonna play here, so that's why he's looking elsewhere." His numbers don't suggest to me that he'd be an upgrade for one year.

I believe it would be more about having competition at the position where as of right now their is none, so when mistakes are made there could actually be consequences?
Do want competition, but if you're gonna take a guy like this I think you need a Russel Wilson situation where you KNOW he's gonna be an upgrade right away. It sounds to me like he can't win the Louisville job, so if they're going to roster guys who might not be better than TA, I'd rather they have more years left.

No argument from me, however nobody is pushing TA to be better. Maybe a graduate transfer (not necessarily this one) could provide that push, right now that person is not on the roster, and maybe allow a redshirt for PO?

How many graduate transfers go someplace where they don't have a really, really good chance at starting?
