How are people feeling about Gary Anderson and his coaching staff compared to Riley?
Most people including myself, although i would have liked Riley to stay, were pretty excited about the Anderson hire in the beginning. Seeing his work at Utah state and seemed to do well at Wisky.
But a lot of people are quickly changing and its not only because he is not doing well. Its His personality and the way he continues to get rid of or bury talented players on the depth chart until they transfer while complaining about the cupbords being bare.
Currently Oregon States QB situation is a mess. Anderson told Luke Del Rio he would never play at Oregon State. He transfered and is now the Starting QB at Florida
He Burried WR Richard Mullany on the depth chart. Mullany transfered and became a starter at Alabama(the SEC one not a directional school lol)
LB Rommel Mageo burried on depth chart. Transfered and starting at Ole Miss
That and the way he has handled other player situations is mind bogeling. But after reading more here and then reading more via Big10 info im not as suprised.
His first season he wasnt even competative in any league game. I understant its a new system but at least be competative. So far this season has been bad except for beating Cal. That is giving some fans a glimmer of hope but im not buying it. I wish i could be proven wrong but
IMO all the fans that were down on Riley before he left are going to see what he acvomplished ay Oregon State with the limited resources and Nike university 40 miles away was no easy feet.
