it isn't about $5. The administration wants a huge crowd for the spring game and I can guarantee you - charging for it won't allow for it. They are trying to beat last years "confirmed" attendance of 41K.

Seeing that our dumbass fans can't follow simple instructions, maybe they should have the opportunity to help offset the cost we will inevitably incur from the SEC office. Plus, it will keep the issue fresh on the minds of some of the fans that might need a reminder that their stupid *** is costing us money and possibly an acceptable form of our tradition...

Of course, this could back fire and trivialize this issue.

on the Starksville retail/restaurant scene. Gotta believe that factors into it.

Please stay in school and take a few business and economic classes before you post on this subject again...

and I work in Economics now, but don't let that get in the way.

As far as economic impact, you guys are saying that a $5 charge to go to the spring game will keep people from coming to Super Bulldog Weekend. That's not true.Who is going to be like "I would go watch us play 3 games against the #1 baseball team in the country if it wasn't for that pesky $5 I have to pay to watch the Spring game."

You're stance is that that 5 dollar fee is going to put less people in hotel rooms, restaurants, and on campus that weekend. That assumption is wrong. If you're going to spend a couple hundred bucks for that weekend, whats another 5? I do agree that the 5 dollar charge will put less people AT THE SPRING GAME. But, if people don't pay to get in anyway it doesn't matter - economically speaking.

That 5 bucks isn't going to move that weekend out of anyone's price curve, and it just amounts to money MSU leaves on the table.

I am only saying that if we charge $5 that we would not have 20k people there vs over 40k when it is free. I guess we will never know because it will be free as long as we have our current AD and coach. Now go back to class........
