As we develop ways to employ our new football video board in an entertaining manner and, at the same time, look for opportunities to bring the academic and athletic parts of campus together, we have produced a segment for the board called The Physics of Football. Mississippi State University physics instructor Josh Winter has agreed to prepare a series of video pieces for the board showing how two seemingly opposite campus activities - physics and football - can join forces, so to speak, in an entertaining way. Look for this segment during the second timeout of the second quarter.

similar to a show I saw with Drew Brees on fox sports if i remember right. They gave him a football that had a chip inside that measured the velocity, acceleration, how many times the ball spun in the spiral, etc... and a usb port to transfer all the data over. They monitored him throw the ball at a target that he nailed dead center consistently and they received a lot of pretty interesting data on the physics side of things.. Something in that fashion if they show a quick experiment would be nice but if its a professor at the chalk board it better be creative and not as boring as the actual physics classes up here.

Sounds like an interesting idea not sure how it will work out or be received by everyone
