You do realize we put up more points, more yards on them than last year. Yes we also gave up more. However, when you think about it those "more points" were on miscues on special teams and just a bad play call. Memphis isn't good at all. They are better than they were last year though, on both sides of the ball. Not to mention our best defensive player is at home watching on his couch.

By the way, last years point differential was smaller than this years. Not making any predictions just saying it's the first game. It's a W doesn't matter hoe you win only if you win.

Let's all just take a shot, let our coaches do their job this week and calm down.

I just don't see how we'll ever be any better. It was the first game and we didn't score 80? And we gave up first downs? Holy ****. Gonna be a long season.

I remember in 06 when it took us 3 games just to score a damn touchdown...

Mempho st looked much worse than last year. They pulled their starting qb early. Sat their 1st and 2nd rb's early. They didn't make any long pass attempts. They were very vanilla and we gave it everything we had. We should be very happy with this piss poor performance and actually winning. Next weekend will be a peice of cake.....Don't know what's wrong with these 17er's on here. dubmass

us to go out there and play like a top 5 team. we played like we should have. we took care of business, made first game mistakes, and slipped up on defense some with a new d coordinator, missing the top player and a major contributing lb. what i saw tonight was a bowl team that is going to give people fits on offense. we had lots of young guys playing tonight, they are going to make mistakes.

That's another good point. If we plan on getting our offense off the field so fast like we did tonight all year we will struggle to win many more...

If this is a preface for the rest of the season......we are 17ed. Our penalties (6) alone were unacceptable. <span style="mso-spacerun: yes"></span>I’m not sure if it is one of the deals where you play to your opponent’s ability or not. All in all we got the W and Relf look great, 13/21 with 202 yards, comparatively speaking. By no means do I accept this game as a challenge to his full ability. </p>
