Not exactly. If we manage to beat UT, was it because their coaches suck and their players have given up or OM is good? I think most everyone had this chalked up as a L before the season anyway. Your game is pretty damn important though.

I think that OM will have to be pretty good to beat Texas in Texas, but it is just not the same task that it was perceived to be pre-season, because Texas is so dysfunctional. Independent of the why, I'd take 3-0 all day long. Texas is certainly good enough to give some barometer. They are no SEMO, or Alcorn or ...

The offensive performance against OSU killed my desire to see much more of THAT kind of offense. Hopefully, against Auburn things will be better (although I have no rational reason to believe it). Regardless, it won't be the success or failure of OM that I'm concerned about, rather the quality of what we do on the field and whether I can watch it this year and stay sane...

I have never EVER said this before about anything. But stinkfoot Iliad right on the money here. I do think we'll find out alot about both teams this weekend. But more about us.

We need a big offensive play early

This team badly needs confidence that they can get an explosive scoring play on a quality team. On the flip side, AU is going to test our run containment early after OSU exposed it. Collins will hopefully have them ready

If Ole Miss ***** the bed this weekend after the Longhorn Goat 17, that last minute lucky shot in the Vandy game will be just that a big bunch of luck! No one will be saying they were suppose to crap out
to Texas just saying SEC has now lost two to ACC and Big 12. Life will go on....

If we don't pull the hill this weekend, QB, Coach, Okie State Game, Bowl, Attendance, etc. will be blasted about like there is no tomorrow. If there is a God we have to keep Auburn's losing streak alive!

Its actually sort of a tough situation when a game that everyone circled as a loss suddenly becomes one everyone has circled as a win. Winning the game loses its luster, but a loss becomes much worse, and its still tough to play Texas at Texas.
