We might beat Arkansas. Maybe. That’s it though.

We'll probably get one more, and it'll probably be one of either Arky, Mizzou, Florida, Texas or OM.

In that order of likelihood.

We ain't beating Georgia.

Threw it up on an open WR? He did his job! He had a big play, where have those been during league play? Our running backs, for a while, kept us in the TN game. Shapen didn’t show up or out in that game. Actually from a stat standpoint, he did quiet the opposite.

I don’t think we have the depth to beat Georgia even if we play really well. Mizzou on the road is going to be extremely tough.

Our best chance for a win or two is our next three games. The Egg Bowl, we’ll see. I won’t say our chances are zero, but we will certainly be an underdog in that game.

I'll trust Lebby on QBs, but Shapen doesn't fit this offense IMO. But hell, with this offensive line, nobody would look good.
I'm surprised so many thought we'd win tonight- Talk about stupid people!

Said this earlier in the night in another thread but when you have an OL with iffy talent level at full strength, and then that OL sustains injuries to both of its starting tackles… you’re just in a bind whatever way you cut it. And it’s not really an issue that can be fixed during the season outside of guys just somehow starting to play better.

Mike Vick would get beat up behind this OL.
lol I want to argue, but ….. you may be right! And I love ya Bruce, but …. Can this staff not call different plays, or dial up a separate game plan? Like Coach Saban said, and I HATE to use him as an example, but he said on Game-Day … if it isn’t working, then we are gonna change up our philosophy right there.

Offense is very close to quitting on the season. We have the best RB group in the SEC, but don’t use them. We have an off week to come up with a run heavy offense with Taylor and Kromenhoek if we want to win another game or two.
With this OL, it might not matter who plays QB the rest of the season.

24 rushes vs 15 passes. I’d say we ran the ball plenty. It was working well in the first half until TAMU adjusted and shut it down.

I actually thought they tried. At Halftime interview Lebby even talked about establishing the run. Isn't this the trouble with young coaches though. They don't have years of knowledge to fall back on to make that change. They have been trying to climb the ladder using their initial knowledge and their "new" thing. Once that thing gets old, they don't have another new thing in their pocket.

You also have the problem in that how much can you teach these kids when you have so little time? You have very few that stay around long enough to even understand the system you want to run so how can they change to something else that you haven't had time to show them. That little under stunt that A&M kept running you would think the OL would figure it out after 3 or 4 times.

Shapen can’t do jack behind this OL. Sure he doesn’t have great pocket presence but they barely even give him a pocket. Shapen throws a nice deep ball and slant route but he isn’t great over the middle. I think maybe he’s just a little too short to see the middle very well.

Yes, and Dak is the reason Dallas sucks. If you didn't see the real problem last night then any discussion is lost on you. Shapen jumped on the OL because the interception should have been a TD. Brennen was open. It is the OL not Shapen.

We have been competitive with teams that looked much better on paper, there are still winnable games left. This last game was the only one that went the way vegas expected. Losing Reese IV last week was huge for us this week.

Wait and see how prolific this offense is once they do that

I would say I'm not arguing for Kamaro but I think Lebby should have run da bawl more in the second quarter. We were slashing them pretty good and then all our plays went to the pass which got us in long down situations when we got sacked or the ball got tipped. He should have been trying to run it bit more when the game was still in reach. It could have also kept the defense off the field. The reason they ended up putting up over 30 was that our defense got worn out from being on the field. The time of possession after the 1st was criminal. Not saying don't pass at all but that **** cost us the game against Tennessee too.

What qb does fit this offense? It's a similar offense to what Baylor ran with Briles what Arkansas ran with Briles what kiffin is running. You need a qb that can throw and qb that can run when needed. Ole Miss line is just way better than ours. Put chamblis behind our line and he wouldn't look as good either

We need 2 for a bowl. If Shapen can't get them, then I don't have any confidence, the other 2 QBs can either. Now, if we want to start preparing for next year, then yes, by all means, get our #2 and #3 QBs as much playing time as possible. I was hoping to beat Arkansas, and either Ole Miss or Missouri.....but Ole Miss is looking less likely as every day goes by. And Petrino will rehash the Piggies in to just enough to beat us in Fayetteville. And Mizzou may be our best bet. I predicted 5-7 before the season began. It's looking like I could be on the money or maybe one short of that. My interest in baseball is now starting to take over.
If the other QBs were better, they would be starting. It's obvious to most of us that they don't know the offense well enough or just not ready to take over or they would be playing a lot more. The OL needs Reese back & healthy to have a chance to win 1-2 more games.

The season's not over. We could still (mathematically) be 10-2 in the regular season.

Yup. People have reset their expectations much faster than I expected. Before the season, I was expecting 3 or 4 wins and a coaching staff we were ultimately going to have to fire and buyout after 2026. Had you told me before the season that at this point we'd have lost our (arguably) best DL and Reese and another OL starter, I would have said we're not going to be within 30 of another team.

Now, while Lebby still has some growing to do, based on the improvement so far I think we've got a chance for him to be good. Or at least move the program forward before the next coach rather than leeting the dumpster fire burn for a few years. Granted some of it is other teams being worse than expected, but there's not a game I see that we just can't be competitive in. I'm not expecting but one or possibly two more wins, and we are going to have another blowout or two like this past weekend where we just get worn down by better talent, but it's not a foregone conclusion which games those will be at this point, particularly if Reese can come back healthy (not sure that's still a possibility; not sure what his status is).

We won't win another game with this offensive line.

We won't win another game with play calling like this.

There's plenty of blame to go around here. Do I think shapen can be better? Absolutely. Do I think this offensive line or this coaching staff are doing anything to help him? Hell no.

This might be the worst offensive line in the history of organized football. When that sucks everything else sucks.
You clearly haven't watch much of state football much less college it this is the worst. Js.
