going to another SEC school this morning if Lee had done what he was supposed to and loft that pass into the back of the end zone like we have seen tebow do on a few occasions. It has been a long time since we have seen a team coached this well. The problem is that we have too many players on the field that weren't offered by another SEC school. I feel as depressed as I have been in awhile, but feel that we have a fighting chance in the future. And it has been awhile since I thought that. </p>

He threw that thing on a rope. I know this being picky and I bet his adrenaline just started pumping when he saw how wide open Green was. If that play would have been completed, everyone would have said Mullen was a genius.

he`s the real deal. He`s making some rookie mistakes and we`re paying for them but the bottom line is that he has assembled a decent football team out of the scraps and pieces the last staff left behind. If you think we`re the only ones noticing this you`re kidding yourself. The key is we don`t want to have to pay for the on-the-job training it`ll take to make him a finished product and let somebody else reap the benefits.

since the beginning of the Sherrill era. I say the beginning because even during our great run in the late 90's, we always laid 1 or 2 eggs against teams we should've killed, and we also let inferior competition hang around.

They showed Dan Mullen in the huddle on the sideline before the 3rd down play, and before they broke Mullen put his hand on the shoulder of Green and said something specifically to him and patted him on the shoulder right as they broke from the sideline. When I saw that I knew something was going to happen that was against the conventional up the middle run. It was a fantastic play call, and Green was absolutely wide open all by himself in the end zone. It was risky, but to beat the ranked teams, you have to take risks sometimes, and that one almost paid off.

that based on what I've seen thus far, I think most people will be willing to pony up. I hope so anyway.

hindsight being 20/20, you give it to Dixon 2 more times. But, it was a great call and the fact it wasn't completed gives people an option to *****. LSU was completely fooled. I think ColumbusDawg said yesterday if Dixon would not have dived on the fake, Jones would not have been in position to block that pass. I am in no way blaming Dixon. The play was executed perfectly. Just an amazing play by Jones.

Thats the only pass all day he threw on a rope. I thought that pass would be perfect for him. No arm strength.

...earlier on the same drive, when we were on the 10, Tyson had Bumphis wide open on the post and threw it about 300 miles per hour and wide right.

I think Lee gave us a better chance than Relf to win for the most part yesterday, but he was definitely a bundle of nerves on that last drive.

That's the biggest reason I think Mullen will play Russell (IF he feels Russell would give us a better chance at winning than Lee)... because Mullen probably won't be here 5 years from now. You gotta think he's going to build a pretty decent team over the next 3-4 years, and with even a little success here at State, you know he'll have offer coming from all over the country.

You may be right. I just dont think Tyson is all that accurate. His passes always seem to be alittle behind the receivers or too much lead on them. Maybe its more of his timing to release the pass, but either way, its not hitting receivers in the numbers so the receivers have chances to make YAC. The only one that had significant YAC was the TD pass on 3rd and 1, and he was wide open.

We didnt see Relf all that much yesterday. And I know he certainly has control issues, but physicality could have won that ballgame on the goalline and that is something Lee will never have....unless he starts training with Brian McNamee.

...I would've brought Relf in on the third down and have him give it to Dixon. Relf would be a bigger threat to run and would've forced LSU to stay more honest instead of keying on Dixon.

After some time to cool down, I think the jump pass was a good call and everything was there, but Lee didn't execute the pass. But next time, I still hope Mullen uses his big TB.
