Sounds like a pretty good chance for a wet field for the battle between the last 2 state champs...anytime there's a big game like this there's always some rumor about players or coaches....heard today that glenvar had a receiver get into a bit of trouble and may not be playing...I don't like rumors and don't want any numbers or names if this is true....just wondered if it was true...hope not...kid seems to be a very good player

I know we got a couple out...dinged up a bit...heard this is a discipline issue...hope it's not true....young men need to realize that bad choices at this point in their lives can change the direction of their lives..

Young men also need to learn that their poor choices also affect more than themselves...the team, the school, the community, their families, their friends, their opponents...That's an important lesson in life if it is learned.

I agree reward, however second time this has happened to this kid. I'd think he would learn from first offense. Not going to mention anything else about the issue because not my place. Just hope he gets his head on straight.

Sometimes kids...often some of the best kids have the hardest heads to get through. But that's what the teachers, coaches, principals, and parents are good for; being hard. Many schools still look the other way when athletes screw up, but not quality ones. I commend both schools in this case for the level of discipline they ask for out of players.

I was not referring to any kid in particular...just a general statement coming off of GS89ers that poor choices can change the direction of a kids life. This issue comes up over and over in every sport on every team. It's a pervasive problem in our schools. Some coaches/schools look the other way when they can. Some hold students totally accountable for even very minor offenses which I respect totally regardless of how it may affect outcomes.
