Winner claims the Cleveland County championship.
I’m going with Weddington. I’ll take them by 10.
I gotta take Weddington. Catholic is a very solid team in all facets of the game, that being said this Cougars team does give you some things that you can attack that some of the previous Cougar’s teams did not. It’s going to be strength on strength, Catholic running game vs Weddington’s front seven. I give the advantage to Weddington.
I'll take Weddington and guess that it won't be close.
This weddington team is nothing flashy but my god them dudes play hard !!! Every man on the field seemed to give 110% on every play and the backs run like they are gonna run through a brick wall every carry …. No going around nothing … they going through

Even the JVs of Weddington looks really solid like varsity. They shut out Mooresville 28-0 and Mooresville crossed the 50 one time and two more times with help of refs. That was in JVs. Weddington didn’t look flashy either.

I believe the loss to Myers Park lit a
