Have the shears been broken and your predictions changed after Week 1? Anyone that would make changes to their picks now? I think mine are staying the same - 8-4.<div>
</div><div>Memphis - done did that.</div><div>Auburn - W - we are the only ones that can slow down our offense this week. Should be a 2 TD win.</div><div>LSU - L - Ok, I was one of the ones saying they lost their best player at every defensive position, yada, yada, yada....well, that defense looked SICK. Tyrann Mathieu is giving me nightmares. I still think we will make it closer than the ducks did.</div><div>La Tech - W - this ain't Croom's dawgs.</div><div>UGA - W - Thought we were better than them at the beginning of the year, this week pretty much confirmed that. Just like Auburn, we will be fighting an away crowd and our own mistakes. Win the turnover margin, win the game.</div><div>UAB - W - and more convincingly this time.</div><div>USC- L - but still our best shot at getting a W out of LSU/USC/BAMA/ARK - could be the difference between a very good season and a great season. I think EJ is going to get that defense straightened out. </div><div>UK - W - slaughter.</div><div>Tenn-Martin - W - see UK, Memphis</div><div>Bama - L - unfortunately, they will probably have their offense sorted out by the time they get to us, but 4 INTs this weekend? They might have a tough time with ARK and FL. </div><div>Ark - L - first, show me we can do it.</div><div>UM - W - their defense does look a little better, but its likely because they played a West Coast Offense team (right in Nix's wheelhouse), and the season rides on Bolden's ankle now. </div><div>
</div><div>First impressions - I think it is still LSU/BAMA for the West title and I am giving LSU the slight edge for now. Looks like UF/USC could be closer than expected for the East - Florida's D looks good under Muschamp. </div><div>

I had a similar opinion to you and changed my mind Saturday night. We are past due for a win against them but I'm no longer feeling good about it being this year.

But I think a lot of people are overlooking Oregon's 4 critical turnovers and 90 yards in penalties.

That defense was nasty. I agree that Oregon is probably a little worse than the pundits thought, but is there any denying that LSU was the best team in the SEC this past weekend? Lot of season left to play, obviously, but they are on the top of the heap right now. <div>
</div><div>I can just see Mathieu being this year's Chad Jones/Patrick Peterson against us. I am not saying we don't have a chance, but, to me, that is without a doubt the toughest game on our schedule as of today. </div>

But I think a lot of that game had to do with Oregon just not living up to their billing. Don't get me wrong, I think its going to be a tough game but I think we knew that last week. I don't many who wouldn't have argued that LSU or Bama were our two toughest games. <div>
</div><div>I just don't know that I'm ready to give up on our chances in a Thursday night home game due to a beatdown of an overrated Oregon team. </div>

The fact that LSU had 270 total yards of offense (104 passing) is another ray of hope. I think our run defense better than the Ducks and we should be able to force the game onto Lee, who I thought looked rocky at best.

Auburn - I felt good about Auburn before the season, was worried after seeing our linebackers play on Thursday, and now feel better about a win than I did at the beginning of the season.

LSU - I really thought they would have a drop off. I would have bet on LSU winning if I had to, but thought we'd have a real chance to upset them playing at home as long as we had serviceable LBs and a serviceable LT. After watching them play Oregon, I'm a lot less wooly. I think their defense is just as good and if we've improved enough to move the ball on them, I still expect enough growing pains out of Carmon that we won't be able to sustain drives.

La Tech -was never concerned and nothing haschanged.</p>

UGA - Nothinghas changed.Watching the Memphis game made me worried that Murray might be able to pick on our LBs; watching the Boise State game made me not as worried. Still expect it to be a toss up, with a slight edge to MSU.

UAB - Nothing has changed. Still expect a win.</p><div>USC- A little less wooly about the chance of an upset. I think Ellis Johnson will fix their defense. I think their offense will wear us down.Still see it asour best shot between Bama, LSU, USCe, and Arky</div><div>
UK - more confident in a win.
</div><div>Tenn-Martin - Nothing has changed.</div><div>
Bama - Basically unchanged. Maybe slightly less wooly about an upset b/c of thought that Carmon will have enough growing pains to make it difficult to sustain drives.
</div><div>Ark - Less wooly about an upset. I think we'll score a lot on them. I think they'll score more on us.They will definitely have the talent and coaching to gameplan for our weaknesses on D.

UM -Unchanged. I was expecting to win and still expect to. As bad as they were, I could see them improving this year playing so many young players.

Generally,I was betting on 7-5 or 8-4, but wouldn't have bet against 9-3 and thought 6-6 was a real possibility. Barring injury, Ithink 6-6 isremote, but I'm also much more doubtful that we make it to 9-3. As long as we take care of UGA on the road, I think we make it to 8-4.

Imagine what they are gonna look like against Ballard and Perkins. At least our guys got to the hole. Late, but they got there. Auburn's LB's were out of position and got eaten up almost every play. I think one of their corners ended up with over 10 tackles. That's awful, and I don't see that changing this weekend.

I don't see a unit on Auburn's team that I would trade for ours, and that's the 1st time we could probably say that about a team in the SEC other than Vandy, OM or UK.
