Very nice pick-up. Obviously, a big target at TE but......... he better be able to show that he can block D-linemen or he will vary rarely see the field ...assuming he can but he will need to add another 40 lbs or so.

Of course he needs to be able to block. But you suggesting our NFL experience head coach and NFL experience OC wouldnt know you can split a tall mismatch TE out wide? Uh ok.

Exactly. I hear him on 1620 today. He said that they are going to start him out as a Y TE (split out) and eventually move him on the line as he gets bigger.

Surprised ASU hasn't started piggybacking all our recruits yet.

I'm sure it's a coincidence, but ever since the media and the sites started gives ASU **** about that, they've backed off from offering the kids the NU does.

Phillips and Ott are obviously 2 big losses when you look at how they could have contributed to the DL depth over the last few seasons.

Others that come to mind are:
Noah Keller played well for Ohio and tried out for a couple NFL teams.
Nathan Bazata.
Christian Lacouture (more of a lost battle than a kid that was overlooked).
Trevor Robinson (another lost battle - Note: I don't consider Harrison Phillips a 'lost battle' because his recruitment was a disaster)
Daryle Hawkins - had a good senior year at WR for Oregon
Nick DeLuca - Multi-year starter at NDSU
