I don't find it "crazy" at all. The problem is they are typically telling us from the sidelines that someone is or isn't hurt, that the coach is about to get dunked with sport drink, reporting on the coach's favorite place to eat in a particular city or something else that doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. Therefore we focus on them being a woman. Plus it is a double edged sword, if they go too far into the actual sport of football then it is hard to listen because we know that they have never played a down in their lives and unfortunately for them Sixpack's Rule #7 "Comments on coaching and or playing are welcome no matter what your experience level in any sport" doesn't apply across America. It's crazy how much Andrews, and all female sports journo-types, get judged for what they look like, what they wear, even the food they eat, rather than simply the work they do.
