Well, I think I'm pretty much done with this team

Our limp dick bats left 14 fvcking runners on base in 9 innings. Several of those were runners on 3rd. We have unproductive outs on a team that simply can't afford it. We make errors. I'm guessing Holder has worn down over his career cause he's below average at best now.

On top of all that OM completely manufactures a run to rub salt in the wound.

I'm sure I'll tune in, but there isn't much anticipation left for the remainder of the season.

Cohen doesn't swing a bat. I know he's a smart man but seems to have a tendency to outfox himself

I for one, salute you embracing the abyss. That's when good things start happening.

And THAT was why I held of posting something rather scathing

You never know in this game until the last out is recorded. I'll just leave this here: our fans are among the nation's elite in supporting the baseball team. We deserve elite results.

despite how some of us might react to this thread, i would like to emphasize the fact that we all probably felt this way at some point today. in case i havent said it enough, 15 FREAKING RUNNERS were stranded. that is our pathetic m.o. we are hitting like .100 with risp....thats my best realistic guess. that is terrible and the truth of the matter, despite the improbable win, we simply are not very good. we cant expect teams to choke like this all the time. our hitting when it counts is still **** and we have some ground to close before we will get back where we want to be as a program.

best thing we can all do at this point is to demand excellence out of our baseball program. right now, we are settling into and accepting mediocrity...certainly, that is the case in our league. we have had some lean years, but its time we raise expectations and demand excellence or be resigned to our fate of being 4th or 5th best in the conference every year.

Agreed for the most part. I have very mixed feeling. I'm glad we won, but man this team has so many flaws offensively. At the end of the day we're a bunch of singles hitters surrounded by singles hitters.

Lets not lose sight, Rea's "base hit" to tie the game was a pop up to right that found the ground. He could have easily been 0-4 today. Speaking of, I was shocked to see them pitch him away.
