He's coached in 9 postseason tournaments in his career. He's won 1 of them, and got probably the easiest draw since the tournament expanded to 64 in that one. 4 times he's gone into a postseason tournament with the best team in the tournament, the #1 seed. He's lost all 4 of those (3 of them at home). So tell me again what a good postseason coach he is. Long team, what wins in the postseason is having good teams. And SEC record is a good indication of how good a team is. For all the results Cohen has gotten us, we may as well have just kept Polk. Because the results have been pretty much the same, minus the CWS appearance.

Friend of mine who has a son on the LSU team said that if anyone on the team began showing symptoms of the stomach virus they were put in the hospital. Many had no business being there but it was a way to insure that they remained hydrated with iv fluids. The reason being that the recovery would be nonexistent headed into this weekend.

He said that several of the guys just threw up a couple of times and were told to go straight to the hospital. Even on the LSU broadcast last night, they said that the players that were hospitalized said that were 100% and felt great.
They were also put in the hospital to attempt to contain the virus and no have it continue to spread around the team for the next couple of weeks. Take it for what it is worth but that is coming from a father of one of the bench warmers at LSU.

but what I was trying to get across is that we've all of a sudden held football to higher standard and given baseball an excuse to be mediocre. Even when football went to the liberty bowl, it was evident that we still weren't that good, but when you look at that 2007 team, they had a chance to win the west going into the last weekend before losing 2 of 3 to bama. Baseball has one of the best fan bases in college baseball, Dudy Noble isn't as nice as some of the new SEC stadiums but we're not losing any recruits over it, we have amazing indoor facilities that rival if not exceed everyone else's, we pay our coaches well and we haven't lost any assistant's since Cohen has been here, which is rare be keep your assistant's for that long. We should be good. There's no excuse not to be. And we tend to give a pass to coaches till they can get their player's on campus. Brownlee is the only Polk player left and I don't think he's causing the mediocrity. The coaches took a gamble on a lot of juco players in their first full class, which is evidenced by the experienced team last year and it paid off by getting hot at the end but is causing some struggles this year. I wouldn't look for things for pick up a ton when those players get healthy.<div>

but we have lost 4 out of 5, lost all three away from home, haven't really played a quality opponent till this weekend, and have had to had some crazy rallies at home to beat Kansas and Washington St...not exactly powerhouses.

Oh yeah, our only returning startingposition playerfrom last year in CT Bradford, who also happens to be our leadoff guy batting .309got hurt and is still out.He is still 2nd on the team in RBI and he's missed a weeks worth of games so yeah, he was pretty valuable.

Norris was hitting .375 when he went down and was leading the team in RBI. Stark was hitting .278 and had also pitched 2.2 innings of scoreless ball. Hedid multiple things for us and his depth is missed. Bracewell has an ERA ofzero injust over 10 innings of work.

Bradford and Norris are the two most important guys in our lineup and wereboth were batting over .300 when they went down. Does anyone wonder why we haven't beenable to score runs? You don't just replace guys like that with equal talent. Some of you need to wake up and quit complaining. All some of you do is complain about MSU sports and need to have someone to blame when we lose games. We have injuries and **** like that happens. Now we have to deal with it and hope we can plug the holes until these guys return.
