If I was him I wouldn't pay any attention to it either if I had a gutless worthless AD like he has. He knows he will never pick up the phone and call him and say change things up and lets talk about your ***'t coaches you know the dead weigh you are carrying around on your back
If the AD ever says anything significant to Calipari, it won't be about assistant coaches ! In direct proportion to your leadership come your results ... and U.K. is 1-4.

that quote was a pretty big tactical error on his part. I know he made it out of frustration, I know at some level he is trying to say the season isn't lost, but between his "we have to hit rock bottom" and now this, its about the most tone deaf approach he can take.

to minimize these losses by saying he isn't listening to the fans

welp, that just expedites his departure.

we're two losses away from him saying he's lost the team and throws them all under the bus.

Generational poverty. Lmao!!!!!

He’s coaching spoiled, entitled, modern day college basketball AAU kids. None of these kids are being “pulled out of poverty”.

Cal is a liar.

“helping guaranteed millionaires become millionaires since 2009.”

Cal coaches college basketball. If it was about helping kids in poverty he’d be at a high school somewhere.

People should have never let him go that route. It’s disgusting and a disgrace to those of us that work with youth in inner cities. Cal is a charlatan.

Yeah, but this way he garners the woke SJW points thus preventing blm Marxists from ruining his life😍💪🏽🍆

You have been clear that you don't know a thing about what you speak of.
Cal has been clear, that he don't care what you think about his teams winning or losing. And he shouldn't.
He's always been a great ambassador to college basketball and for the kids.
He's always represented the college well.
Barnhart, likewise, has done a fantastic job. These guys work as hard or harder than any.

It will be sooner rather than later. He is gone after this year.
you know I would have strongly disagreed with that statement 2 days ago.

I still think he is around next year, but this season has the potential to get very ugly , and things will be said and done that can't be taken back. Cal may be at the crossroads at the end of this season, asking himself if he has complete faith in his ability to turn this around knowing that he'll have to win the fanbase back.

and the idea of Cal having to win fans over probably doesn't sit very well with him, especially at Kentucky where he's walked on water for the first 6 years. The thought of it , I would think , pisses him off.

I am saying if the season continues on it's current course. Keep in mind we have had no injuries(Brooks doesn't count cause he hasn't played) we haven't lost to UL yet, no team issues yet and the SEC will be no picnic this year. We are in trouble like Cal hasn't had here so like the old Batman T V show said "the worst is yet to come"

Im behind you Coach, but at this point STFU and get it fixed. We saw for the better part of the last 20 minutes what we should have seen the previous 140 minutes.
Do you think the 2nd half was that great? Honestly, ND is not a good team. I just see the iceberg coming. I appreciate your optimism.
He's a HOF coach, why is UK 5 games in and he just said, this is how we will play?
Blames the 1st half on one player? Sounds like desperation to me.

It’s honestly best not to engage his childish banter. I succumbed at first but learned my lesson quickly.
I think a lot of the younger generation that follows UK basketball are so quick to take up for Cal because they weren’t old enough to remember or wasn’t even alive yet when we had successful teams without one and done classes. Hell they may just have been around for the Billy Gillespie nightmare and seen the difference Cal made early on.

Hell we got fans that think that their aren’t any other coaches that could win here lmao They totally ignore the past or that currently we have some of the nicest facilities, best fans in the sport, and resources that most coaches across the country don’t have and would kill for.

It wasn't great, but there were signs of life. Better passing, there was hunger that I don't think I've seen yet. Only 4 turnovers. 4-10 made 3s. I think they learned today the value of getting Sarr touches. I don't know why it's taken 5 games. I thought it was obvious. It should have been to him. He's not totally wrong about the 1st half. Boston, and he did a little in the 2nd half as well, but he was searching for his. I would never say it was 1 player's fault, but maybe Cal feels Boston can take it and raise his game. I don't know. My hope is we will see carry over to the next game. I've said in the past, maybe not to you, but Im giving this team 10 games to become a more cohesive unit. They need time to play together. Unlike other seasons the talent and length and athleticism just aren't enough to overcome all the deficiencies at the beginning of the season especially the experience void.

This is spot on. @LineSkiCat14 is a real fan, gets the program, and is a good poster. But he wasn’t around to see the Pitino years. I think it plays a huge role.

To fully “get it” with UK basketball, I think the threshold is experiencing UK at least back to 92.

line I @‘d you because I wanted to knife you from the front not the back lol.

I’ve seen people numerous times tell you that Chris Beard couldn’t win here. They put the guy down with no consideration of the difference in resources coaching at Texas Tech and here at UK. It’s totally different and it matters. One of the first things Cal said when he took this job was they he could do things here that he couldn’t at the other schools he coached at. You would think our fans wouldn’t under value the Kentucky brand like that. I don’t understand how they don’t see that at any blue blood program you have an advantage.
