People forget how wild that run was and how it was really one hot weekend in Lexington.
Virginia Commonwealth gave us a fight in the first round. Could have easily lost that game. Princeton upset the defending national champion UCLA, who had beaten us in the Sweet 16 the season before and was an awful matchup for us. Had UCLA won that game, we wouldn't have made it to the Sweet 16.
We get to Lexington and get matched up with a UConn team that had a paper tiger resume to get to 31-2. They had struggled with the No. 16 seed and pulled away from the No. 9 seed late.
Then you get Cincy in the Elite 8 that was a great matchup for us.
Then Bullard paid off some gambling debts by throwing the game to a Syracuse team we were 10 points better than. Who know what would have happened against Kentucky.

You are incorrect. In 2009 we lost in the first round to Washington. In 2008 we beat Oregon in the first round and lost to Memphis in the second round. The win over Oregon is our last tournament win to date.
