Im sorry but not even a Bear fan can look at you with a straight face and say they didnt do anything illegal. If they pulled all the top in state talent no one would even bat an eye. But when you go into Florida, Georgia,Indiana and Illinois and pull their best players too maybe you are offering a few "more incentives" that others are offering. Somethings not right .

Sounds more to me like it's just coming from someone who's frustrated with all the talk and gossip, and especially when it's coming from places like CBS Sports. But I think he would have been better off saying nothing, whether there's anything to all the speculation or not. Saying something is a really good indication that it's getting under his skin and he's trying to guise that frustration by transferring it to the "young men". BTW ... he should have said "families".
They talked about the Treadwell pics on College Gameday yesterday. The anchor (or whatever he was) straight up said that there was something fishy going on in Oxford.
I would think that it would have to deal with Treadwell. I mean, he pretty much showed everyone why he chose OM. Showing that picture just put a magnifying glass on their program and I could easily see some of their "social media superstars" saying some not so nice things to him about it.

As an OM fan this tweet doesn't bother me in the least. He's saying if you got something show it, otherwise shut the 17 up. I'm sure he's saying this with full confidence that nothing's out there. In a year from now when we're all engrossed in next year's signing classes, this will be an afterthought. However, I'm sure there will a new set of rumors and innuendos going around, so basically same **** different year.
No this isn't same **** different year. Same **** different year would be that we are saying that you bought off Jones and Conner, and will now finish in the top 20 of recruiting. This isn't the same ****, because this year, with your 13 wins over the last 3 years, you may have a top 5 class or #1 class in America.
This isn't a same **** different year because programs simply don't do this, and it won't be an after thought. Trust me! As an SEC fan, right now, you have to buy into 1 of 2 facts: 1) Hugh Freeze in the greatest recruiter in the history of college football, because in order to pull off this class, with OM's recent success, thats what he would have to be. or 2) OM is cheating.
To me there is no middle ground.
Both of these facts are entirely plausible, but I think we all know which one is more likely.

All this anger makes no sense and is misdirected. The only person you and Freeze should be mad at is Treadwell. He's the cause of all this unwanted attention. So, do us a favor, and direct it there.

Not sure who "you" is, but if it's me, I ain't mad at nobody. Now if it were to come out that OM was doing some illegal stuff, then I would be mad at Freeze. But, until then, all is good in the world.

Ok...so you think OM is cheating. For which players exactly? RN's brother is on the team so that could explain him. Treadwell's best friend is on the team so that could explain him. Conner is a USP player so no need to cheat there (if he picks OM). Daniel and Tunsil? Well that means OM is outbidding Auburn and FSU for Daniel and Bama and UGA for Tunsil. I'm sure OM has the resources to outbid those schools, right? Now if you tell those schools don't cheat, then I'm going to have to call BS. We all know State's history with UA and, as far as, Bama, well they're Bama. I don't know anything about UGA and FSU as for playing the "game", so I'll just assume Daniel and Tunsil weren't going to either one of them since they're only in it for the money anyway.

Freeze signed two 3-star recruits at Arkansas State and the rest were 2-stars. Last year, Ole Miss had a #40ish recruiting class with 5-star Channing Ward and the rest 2- and 3-stars per scout. Did Freeze and Oxford both become 1,000x better in less than a year?

It was certainly not intelligent to comment on it. Now he's opened himself up to be asked about it by the press.
Med, you're reaching. ASU? Really? How many 4* and 5* stars have they signed over the years? Even the best recruiter in the country would have trouble pulling top talent there. And last year was Freeze's first at OM. Everyone knows it takes a year or more to build relationships with the players. I'm sure Freeze did all he could last year to salvage a decent class, but his target was this year and beyond.
As for Oxford, no need opening that can of worms. Every Bulldog on here will swear up and down that Starkville is every bit the college town that Oxford is. So we'll just agree to disagree on that.

It's not just that he posted the picture, but the fact that he quickly took it down. Why else would he do that unless he realized the implications that would be made.

Thats par for the course in Memphis. I went to a secular private high school there. Had a head coach my senior year that played for Umiss and then the Colts for almost a decade. He spotted em right off, "These sons a ******* love to wear the white collar during the week and stab you in the back on Friday night." Exact quote.
What you don't get......if alabama had won 13 games in the last three years, no effing way they're pulling in a top 5 class. Even the alabama people will tell you that.
