I am sure we will hear from Ole Miss recruiting gurus that DK Buford for Lafayette is going to be a superstar but from what I saw last night I am not impressed.
One hit and the guy goes down and only 49 yards despite having most of the offense built around him.

Also Trent Hammond is going to put Tupelo back on the football map. It was night and day from the last few years. Reminded me of Harbaugh taking over for Singletary.

Very good to hear about Tupelo...

Wasn't able to make the game last night, but it has been a tough few years for The Golden Wave. Having played for THS in the mid 80's, I was able to witness firsthand some very good teams. I hope it gets there again.

I actually agree with you, Hanmu. The 2 games I saw of Buford last year left me wondering why he was so highly recruited. I also thought the same thing of Kailo. However, you can't teach speed and apparently, those 2 have that in spades.

Reed is one hell of a kicker. He also put most of his kickoffs in the end zone.

If anyone cares, the long snapper for Tupelo, Joel Baldwyn, is committed to State.

That was the best executed high school game I have seen maybe ever. I would have to think Lafayette didn't see that one coming. The sophomore QB Daniel Bristow will be one to watch. 6'4", strong arm, managing a complicated fast paced offense. The kicker Reed Bigham is one to keep an eye on. This is his first year to start. He's been playing behind a D1 kicker since jr high. Counting their jamboree game, he is 5-5 on PATs and has made from 35, 39, 48, and 49. He's only had one KO that wasn't a touchback and on that one he caught the return guy from behind from a flatfooted start. I think he's a Bulldog, maybe we could find a place for him so Logan could keep snapping to him.
