That was a horrible win and horrible coaching... We should have won by 30. There is no reason to rely on the 3 ball when we have a height advantage inside.

Wright State played slow like most Horizon teams do and they shoot the ball very well. The oddsmakers had us favored by 11, so I guess they are not quite as dumb as you are saying we should win by 30. It won't matter, if we win by 30, you'll say we should have won by 40. Enjoy the win for once, you'll get a chance down the road when we lose one again but we are playing pretty good right now.

If you think we aren'tplaying to our strengths, then you haven't learned much by watching us. Osby and Augustus are not dominating inside players and really Sidney isn't either. He is a power forward who can shoot the ball. My God, give our staff some credit and quit bitching, they are there every day.

Yeah definitely no reason to rely on the three ball when you are making 50%. Every body with any basketball knowledge knows it is better to go inside than shoot 50% from three. I mean sure, you would have to make 75% of your two point shots for it to be more effective in reality but who gives a damn. We shot 48% from three point range and 63% from 2 point range. Not bad in any game. Wright State shot under 40% from the field and 38% from 3 point range. Osby played well but had 4 turnovers and Kodi had 3 turnovers and shot 1-4 from the field. Again, I do not understand what the hell is wrong with "living and dying by the three ball" when we're making almost 43%. I think you would be happier if we had "worked on our inside game" and lost. And you would be even more upset than you are now if we had shot 45 threes and won by 24.
Outside of Bailey, JV is our only player who has a true inside game, and you really don't know basketball if you can't see that our best opportunity to keep winning is to spread the floor around him and take the open shots.

We could win by fifty points with 95% of our points coming in the paint, 6 or 7 players having double double nights, 0 turnovers, 100% FT shooting against Duke at Cameron Indoor when they were ranked #1 and he would still ***** about Stans being a sucky coach. It is just who he is.

is because with the way Wright State was shooting we would've put ourselves in danger of losing, and there's no justification for doing that voluntarily. In these days of parity, we'd be stupid to invite another Richmond game where we let a weaker opponent hang around and then screw it up at the end. Instead, we stayed with the outside shots since they were falling, and went inside when we absolutely had to have points. It's a formula that's working for us, and screaming about sticking with it while winning is inane. You can make an argument that it hurt us against Richmond, but that game had an entirely different feel.fishwater99 said:

I may need to crank up my sarcasm meter, but the reference to learning from Brady, if not sarcastic, was awesome. John Brady was the poor man's stansbury (and that might even be overrating him). Clearly there are some things Stans doesn't do well, but he's still equal or better to Brady in every respect.fishwater99 said:
