I certainly didn't expect rain to keep that crowd away from gaining revenge for last year.

On their site, one poster claimed they represented about 10% of the crowd at the game. And that poster claimed the crowd was slightly bigger than the one at the Linc last year.

I think for one of the first times ever, I did not see one person wearing a logo of the opposing team while walking around at our stadium. Granted I didnt leave my seat at all this week, but the whole walk in & out and the tailgate, never saw a temple "T" or Owl anywhere. Years past I even recall passing fans from small visiting schools like North Texas, North Carolina Central and Howard. But not one from Temple. I'm sure some were there, and I just missed them, but there could not have been many. Forgot to even look over at the visiting sections to see if there was any White & Cherry clad fans among the black-out crowd. They didnt give there fans much reason to make noise

so they are counting the Temple grads that live in New Jersey because they live in the same state the game was played in.

Least attended game by visiting fans since I have been attending. (30+years) There were 2 in my section and they are the only 2 that I saw all day. I remember hosting 10 or so Norfolk fans at my tailgate the first Schiano go around. Sad that a school 50 miles away couldn’t get people to the game.

Funny because I saw them at the boardwalk and again upon entrance to the stadium. Felt like they were tailing me.

Who was the person responsible for setting the temple band up on the home side above the student section. Absolutely moronic. Not like they were given the opportunity to play very much. But why would you have them behind your own bench?
Brilliant

I thought I saw the Temple band sitting at the top of the upper deck corner most of the game. They were in the South corner on the Rutgers side. From the Temple sideline, could barely hear when they played. Last I looked they were still up there close to end of game.

I sit midfield in the 105 area and saw plenty of Temple shirts

Over the course of the game, halftime etc, maybe 50-75 as a rough guess, maybe more
A lot of their fans got decent seats it seems in that area

Reread my post. That is exactly what I posted. They were behind the Rutgers bench. Who would give tickets to the visitor band (by definition giant noise makers) behind your own bench.

There was a very quiet block of Temple fans at the top of 110, not that they had much to cheer about.

1 poor ol big guy at the bottom of 121 near Nuts. I say Poor Ol because he was jumping around "like a Nut" for the beginning but then had to just sit on his butt the whole game. (he wasn't being a jerk just rooting for his team).

I sit up in that section, and the band was plenty loud up close, and played after the ball was set several times (and at the same time as our band, and in constant duel with the piped in music). They stayed the entire game. There were some other Temple fans in that section, too - two Temple band parents sat behind me (though the dad said he was actually a Michigan fan).

Overall, though, it was a fairly sparse crowd, and the stadium looked half empty.

I did reread your post...you did say 'on the home side above the student section'...I did not catch the on the home side to mean the upper deck sideline but thought you meant right behind the students. So, I read the words much more literally.
