Good decision maker as a freshman but a weak arm. Crooms couldn't do anything with him, but I'm guessing Mullen could have gotten some use out of him compared to mini-me; at least gotten him to pitch the ball or put some air under it against LSU. Once Relf emerged and Russell was done with his redshirt year, not sure how much he would have seen the field.

I think Carroll could have done well in Mullen's scheme. Did some googlin' on Paul Crawford. He gained 40lbs his first year in college. He went from a lanky light 6'8'' LB to a well sized 6'8'' 260 lb D Lineman. You just never know what you are going to get.

Croom made a mistake by benching him some, but Mullen made the same mistake playing the same guy overRelf. Carroll left afterCroom got fired - he figured that he wasn't going to be the man for Mullen because Mullen didn't recruit him to Florida.

And that's because even though Lee wasn't very good at all, he was better than Carroll. I've never understood the love for him on this board. We won games in 2007 IN SPITE of Wes Carroll, not because of him.
