about 30 pounds. He is an OL so he would be too small to play SEC football.

At the end of the day, I predict him not losing enough and playing football.

He has told everyone that baseball is pretty much his first love, and we are the school that brought the SEC Adam Larson and Brett Cleveland, although I don't think either of them were 290.

But it's not totally unheard of- David Wells, CC Sabathia, Bobby Jenks, and Johnathan Broxton are all big guys. Besides, I think Rea is going to be a relief pitcher, so we'll be asking him to go 1-2 innings at a time.

That said, yes, he could and will be made to, lose some weight. I wouldn't be worried about that with Cohen's conditioning program, though.

He wont play for mullen while it would be nice if he could do both but for an OL i just dont see it poosible. I wish we could haul in Barlow and call it a day, but an LSU offer is looming and he'll be gone

on how LSU views Barlow. LSU has Austin Nola at SS, and he was just a Fr. last year, I believe. I don't know where they view Cecheeni playing- I'm guessing it could be SS or third.

I'm hoping- maybe falsely- that we can convince Luke Maddox to stay, that Prep's coach will be impressed with what Cohen's got going on and that his buddy Taylor Stark can help talk him into going to State.

CONSPIRACY THEORY TIME!!!!

I will say this- I kind of find it odd that Maddox is going up to State with his baseball coach. And some background info on Maddox- his brother walked on at Ole Miss, and supposedly quit because he felt like he wasn't given a fair shot. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Maddox goes up there with Box and Maddox tries to get some scholarship money in an effort to get a more fair shot and Box, who is from Columbus, tries to get an inside track on an assistant coaching job at MSU in the future if they can help steer Barlow to MSU.

If my theory is true, I'm glad we have Cohen handling this, because he has a better chance of pulling this off than Polk ever would have. I have no doubt that Polk would have <17> it up royally. I can just hear, aw gee, Chuck, ya know Greg Drye does a really good job, we couldn't fire him for a 5-tool player. We don't do that here. You'll have to send Kaleb to Ole Miss.

And if you think high school coaches don't try to do stuff like this- exhibit A is former Madison Central HC Mike Rosamond. He tried to get an assistant job with Ole Miss, but it got snuffed out when Pat Harrison got fired.

And if my theory is true, it still doesn't mean that Barlow will or won't go to State.

If he can do that, I don't care how much he weighs. He'll probably never be a starter. Sure, dropping 30-40 will be ideal, and now that we have a real strength and conditioning program, that shouldn't be an issue.

I don't know anything about these 2010 guys besides the articles, but it's exciting getting commitments from guys that aren't all 6'-0", 170.

Dave Letterman once called him a "fat tub of goo" in his monologue one night. A couple of weeks later, Forster was on the show. He said he was mad at first, but then looked in the mirror and realized that Letterman was right. He was hilarious.
