Since it is obviously taboo to even mention the possibility of any match up beyond the first round, here we go. Thoughts and predictions?

I don't know anything about West Columbus except they have a long trip ahead of them! Numbers show they give up a ton of points! Might be a blow out but some thought the same about this past Friday's game too. Might be a good one to rest some guys if needed.

West has a very good RB ,Fred Evans. 3 in state track I believe. Defense is slow,big.
Rushed for over 300 yards Friday. They should have won 3 more games. Jack Gaster was our coach in 70s won conf. Each year.
Baxter Morris and his son are helping coach this team,I believe u know Baxter,who coached at Albemerle. U should win but

I hope so. Our guys need some competition! We have only allowed 91 points this year total against some D1 athletes in the conference. We can rest a couple and be ok. We are pretty deep at most positions.

Don't we have four players that were number one in State in track? Or at least two.
It's according to which direction you come from really. If you come from Hwy 73/74 you will come through Biscoe. They have several chain restaurants. Troy has the normal chains -McDonalds, Bojangles but they also have Zeno's (Italian), Hometown BBQ and Better Burger. Wadeville has nothing. That's were the school is. It's not actually in Mt Gilead.
Zeno's is great too..just beware on a Friday evening you may want to be there early cause the place gets packed quick...wouldn't want anyone to miss kick off waiting on their stromboli.
Will the games go back to 7:30 start time like non-conference games were? I'm not a fan of the 7:00 start time for conference games.
Probably worse than that. U guys have all the tradition their,great team also.

You will find a very friendly crowd of Warrior fans! We love our guys but we won't be rude. Try the PorkChop Sandwich in the concession stand! They are awesome! (If they have them)
I just checked Google maps and discovered to my amazement that the Burger Shack I ate at 30 years ago in downtown Mt. Gilead is still there.
Steve's Pizza in Mount Gilead is a must if you are in the area! Best chicken wings in the county.
In looking at West Columbus on maxpreps, it appears there main weapon is Evans with almost 1,200 yards and 17 TD's. They look to be primarily a running team and he is well over 50% of their offense as far as production. In the videos, he is a really good-looking kid. They have some big linemen on the roster so it could be an interesting match up there, particularly if we let those big young 'uns get their hands on us. We've been going with the smaller, faster D line the last couple of weeks as we have been resting some of our big guys who also play O line. I am excited about playing someone we would not ordinarily see. Go Warriors!
Our kids are still learning to win. Coach Lamb and coach Jones are getting them there,just going to take time.
Big upfront,single set back mostly. Spread off. We throw alot,run Evans. Defense give up a ton of pts. this year,but getting better in last 2 games. QB is also pretty good throwing and he is fast. I just hope we can stay on field with u guys.

We can be very uneven at times gotoblue, which is very frustrating. We can put up 35 points in a quarter or take a whole half off. That is what beat us last year after being up 21-10 against Starmount at the half We took the 2nd half off and got beat. To be honest, it has continued throughout the year but it has been slow starts in the first half this year more often than not. We can be the most talented team in the world if we could stay focused. But that is the concern entering the playoffs. You will know in the first quarter which WM team you are getting. The defense has been a real bright spot though.

the only thing hurt is east montgomery's feelings for the 39th time! West will be fine. Playing through adversity this season has become the norm. And last I heard West could be without 8-10 starters Friday night or possibly the entire playoffs. Maybe we will finally go to the 5 wideout spread shotgun/wildcat formation with only two linemen in tight.
The team motto is "One Goal". I think we all know what that "One Goal" is! It's the big trophy that has eluded us all these years!
