This is the game I will be going to. First time to MP!

My thoughts are: This is going to be a BRAWL! Both team are BATTLED tested as they have some close wins and losses. I give the Edge to WL on Competition imo but I like what Mt Pleasant has shown on offense. This should be a GOOD GAME to watch and I'm happy to be there!

What is everyone else thoughts on this contest?!

I don’t know enough about either team to have an opinion only that IF we get by Forbush we would be playing the winner. Hopefully if Heritage wins this Friday you can give me a good idea of what we would be in for in the 2nd round. Do you know anything about Forbush?

Thanks for starting the thread BlueDevil. I had planned on doing so Tomorrow. I knew I hadn’t seen any WL posters on here. There used to be two or three Mt P posters, when their kids graduated they dropped out. Except for my buddy Sportscaster, that dude was a trip and a half. He was from Israel, not sure what happened to him.

Forbush is Decent , I dont know much bout them but they are kinda like North Iredell in term of talent to me and they havent been too great in past few yr so I think yall should win but i really havent hear much bout Forbush this yr

Yeah I wonder what happened to him too..... I am going to stop and eat at What a Burger if you wanna join me, I am going to try to be there around 4:30 or so at What a Burger

BlueDevil I may not get to the game until 6:45 or 7:00. My dang job keeps getting in the way. Are you planning on sitting on the home side?

Good stuff... right here. Please keep us posted during the game. That’s a South Fork Brother going to Mt. Pleasant. I’ve stepped out on a limb....saying the West Lincoln Johnny Rebs gonna win this one. I’m sticking to it...too! They are by far... the scrappiest team ya gonna play! They’re smaller... line and backs... both sides....but so aggressive and quick...got a couple of kamikazes too! QB is a baller! Couple of RB’s who’ll die for another yard.
I know Mt. Pleasant is favored and deservedly so...but the boys from Cat Square won’t be an easy out!...beat East Lincoln in OT!...which avenged a beat down from ‘19 ....and got ‘em in the show too!

Mt Pleasant has had some solid seasons. I remember one year when Shelby played Mt Pleasant. I bet someone a What-a-burger that Shelby would beat Mt Pleasant. I even took points. I said they would win by 17. Sure enough it was 17-0. I think Mt Pleasant had missed a FG or I would of lost the bet. Lol. Back around few years ago or so I watch Mt Pleasant played Maiden in the 1st rd of playoffs. I hope that’s right. Mt Pleasant was tough in that game. I didn’t see this game but Mt Pleasant played a good South Iredell team and went 3OTs. But South would pull that one out.

I meet that guy in the press box at Shelby when he was calling the game with Mt Pleasant. He was a nut. But a very friendly guy.

I met him at the Mt P , South Point game a couple years back. He was definitely a few bricks shy of a full load. He sure believed in the Tigers though.

I was at a Cox Mill basketball game when they had Wendall Moore. It was in the playoffs against Concord. He was working at the top of the bleachers.. I didn’t get around to talk with him. Since I was at distance.

Sportscaster still lives in Charlotte. He is a football radio announcer for a small college in the area. I follow him on Twitter.

What is impresses me about West is the fact that in middle school they were terrible. I know that a lot changes from middle to high school but for the most part smaller schools keep the same kids all the way through. the Coaches at West have really done a great job with those kids the last few years.

I couldn’t agree more! Coaches have got them believing. West has gained confidence and expects to win over teams that used to run over them year after year.
Changing behaviors is so difficult to accomplish...I don’t care what it applies to....and the coaches at West have figured it out!
They’re a close knit community, Cat Square - Hawg Hill, that have always supported their team...win or lose!
I’m tickled to death for ‘em!

You’re welcome, my friend. Enjoy the ride, unlike playing in fall, it will be daylight for the drive down.
I know it’s no consolation but I’m sorry your Raiders aren’t in the playoffs. They should be. I believe they, like Maiden, were playing some of their best football at the end of regular season.

BlueDevil I’ll plan on catching up with you at half time. My wife and daughter are coming with me. They will probably do more visiting than watching the game.
