West will play hard but their best running back graduated early and enrolled at State last December and their best returning running back and also the starting linebacker tore his ACL during the spring season and is out for the year.

Well that was the crappiest 30 point win I've ever seen.

Do not be fooled by that score. ER scored 19 points within the last five minutes of the game. For three and a half quarters, the Cats did not look like a #1 team. Penalties out the wazoo. I don't think I've ever seen a Wildcat team amass that many penalties. Fortunately, West Stanly didn't have much offensive firepower.

My hats off to the Colts though. They're a gritty team. They've got some big dudes on that D-line and their linebackers played well. They had a very good gameplan. The early part of the second quarter is what did them in. West had a pass picked off then fumbled the ball away on their next possession. Both turnovers in West's own territory. ER capitalized on both with two touchdowns.

It was 14-3 for about a couple of hours until Nyheim Lilly busted the dam wide open with his nice TD run up the middle.

In addition to Lilly, Jon Maness and Elias Alston also had nice games. Maness was looking like Luke Kuechly in the first half. Alston's a baller. He's so fun to watch. In the third quarter, he had a great catch off a long bomb from Barwick.
