Dangerous game.
Oklahoma State isn't that far from being undefeated.
When they played Texas. Texas kept trying to push the lead to 15 but Oklahoma State kept cutting it down to 4-5.
A small basketball team that has a player who can get anything he wants.
If they go to Cunningham and 4 guards you can put Matthews on him.
But what to you do with Culver.
Will be playing 4 on 5 because Culver can't go out and defend those guards on the perimeter

Don’t be afraid to call an early time out or two if / OSU goes on a run. We went from tied to down 14 or Saturday before very late TO was called.
Sometimes you want to trust your players on the court.
Haven't heard Bob Huggins say it yet. But Roy Williams was talking about how he can't hold his players hands when they are on the court. Especially his point guard

The rebounding margin can't be close.
WVU should win on the boards. Huggins said something about the rebounding after the last game.
Need a wide margin. 40-25 or something.

We have one rebounder. One thinks he's the Lebron so he left and the other tore his Achilles.
Can go small all night but you still have to shoot the ball into the basket.
+10 on the boards
This game is crazy. Contrast in style and theirs is winning.
We will see what happens in the second.
They are petty much pushing the ball everytime they touch it.
WVU has no answer for those guards.
A large portion of my optimism this season was based on Oscar and McBride being key contributors and improving. Now we only have McBride and unfortunately he is the only consistent guard we have. I'm having a hard time seeing a ceiling any higher than getting to where we were at the end of the last regular season. And even that seems lofty after the last 3 halves of play.
People over hyped this team from the beginning. How quickly they forgot the 6 losses in 7 games in February last year.
Why I said it was such a dangerous game.
Because it was a battle of styles more than teams
With Cunningham they are able to play that style much easier.

But you should expect better the following year from a team that returns most of their key players. Hayley was the only big loss from last year to this one if I recall, but my recollection is far from bulletproof.
Not when you have guy thinking he's the next NBA hero. Now the entire team needs to be rebuilt. Might be out of it by the time that happens.
WVU doesn't have a style at the moment. That's the problem.
I would rather recruit 3 star players that want to play and improve than to get some McDonald guy that thinks he's the one.
Was so important and embedded in the team that is falling apart without him? Isn't that giving him the power he thinks he had? Was his presence that important since his meager stats were not that impressive. Team doesn't need a rebuild and shouldn't need several games to get their act together. Sure this back to back away run sucks, but no excuse for not being better than this in 2-4 games. Especially since defense is sucking and that should never be a problem with Huggins led teams.
Yeah he's the next Lebron James haven't heard. The only thing we miss with Oscar is offensive rebounding.
If we start out 1-5 in conference we will be lucky to finish 9-9.
This defense is Basketball version of the 2013 football teams.
Ok maybe you got something there. Get the defense going and perhaps we have a shot at some wins.
Well down 20 they dug deep somehow and come back to win. HUGE.

Unbelievable comeback. Huggs coached us to a win on this one. He changed things up and found a formula and it worked well. They all came through but Culver, McBride and Taz came through with some really good shooting. Great win for sure. OSU is no joke, they beat TTU and almost beat Texas, This was a good road win for a young team missing Oscar the Grouch.
Our Biggest road win in a long time. I was folding up my tent and pouting my way out. Just when they piss you off the most they real you back in. Now that they've done that they'll rip our hearts out in another game.

Oh alright....I will say something to pacify Allen...that was a very good win...despite how it happened.

Your first thought is to jump on here with your "I told you so's" because someone had the audacity to complain about the play after being down 19. Do you honestly think any of the posters who were criticizing the coaching or play aren't happy with the win?
