I’m not trying to start a fight but what is there to get excited about? Football or basketball?

Not much. Especially when the long view shows that NILs only reinforces the push by media outlets to concentrate college football, and to a lesser extent basketball, down to only a handful of teams. WVU is not likely to be invited to this concentration of power and without that invite being relegated to irrelevance would be inevitable. So being in such a poor position in both sports with the already slim chances of a magical season rapidly vanishing, it's hard to be excited.

I fear in 5-10 years I will not care much at all about college sports. That would've seemed impossible to me when I joined this board 17 years ago. Of course I was a WVU student at that time, but I age hasn't been what has impaired my love of WVU FB and BB. I really hope I'm wrong.

Another game, another loss.

Not sure why Gabe only got 7 minutes. Wonder if it’s because he didn’t bow down at the Huggins shrine the past few days?

I agree. I’ve been a diehard WVU fan since I was 11 and went to my first WVU football game in 1984. (Boston college) what a game that was!! Over the past few years my interest has been different. I still watch every game religiously. I guess my expectations are much different.

Meh, no different than defending Huggins 24/7 on a message board. Some people believe Coaches are not above criticism some people worship them like Gods. End of the day it's a WVU Sports Message Board.

And what exactly does bitching 24/7 on a message board like tootie do accomplish?
Complaining on a message board accomplishes nothing. Root, Bucky And vault need to remind Lyons about all the money they have donated to the athletic department over the years. I am sure their 7 figure donations have landed them on speed dial in Lyons cellphone.
