ISU a poor defensive team but a good offensive team. Horrible defensive rebounding team so advantage WVU on those offensive boards. ISU really poor on defensive 3 point defense% and FG%.
If we can't break out of a slump shooting vs this team then we'll need to rely on defense the rest of the way.

That was the attitude that cost WVU the pratfall loss to Kansas State in the first meeting.
If you think "It'll be a walk in the park" is when you fall off a cliff all too often.
NO ONE, including me, KNOWS how the Iowa State will turn out, although playing the Cyclones is Morgantown is usually better than playing them in Ames, where they have knocked off some top Big 12 teams over the years.

K.State was on the road and just as physical as WVU. KSU is a tough match up for us.
ISU better match up for us in what we like to do and in our favor.
ISU has been ranked 9 of the 15 times we've played, Series is 7-8 with one of those wins in Big 12 Tournament Final. The regular season is 7-7

Got the win against a bad team. The bench didn’t contribute much and McBride is struggling. Definitely need more offensive consistency by the shooters from here on out.
But, it was good to see Matthews have a really solid offensive game. McBride couldn't find any angles. Harler had a pretty good game too. I was out of the country and missed the last two games, ready for the home stretch.
