No one scored more than 11 for WVU. But 8 scored, 10 played.
Huggins Heroes shot 42.6% in field goals, but ONLY 2 for 16 in 3’s (awful!). So why not work ball inside to the bigs?
WVU out-rebounded Cowboys, 43-29.

I liked the lineup change, Sherman and McNeil need some time on the court to get into the flow. Didn't look great in the first half but it all looked better in the second half.
19-7 WVU 65 OSU 47 - WVU shot 42% compared to 34.5%, 31.7%, 31.6% in the last 3 games. With this defense I'll take 42% all night.
Good win. Definitely not pretty but WVU did better at what keeps it in games such as the free throw attempts. OK St is a bad team but WVU got the win it needed to end the skid.
I think they need to start running the offense earlier. They had too many shots with 5 seconds to go on the clock. Somebody needs to tell them to quit waiting so long and also drive and pull up. That is what McBride and Sherman both do best. Not shoot from three with 5 or less seconds to go.
Okie State was on a good roll winning 3 of the past 5 and should have beaten Baylor. Oklahoma State led by as many as 15 against Baylor and led by 1 with 5 minutes to go.
But that's one down and 4 more games against the lower half before having Baylor at home.
WVU is playing for seeding the rest of the way.
Agreed but without being too specific, there were personnel changes right at halftime that I believe directly led to the strong second half.
Oscar and Culver have to play together for us to win in March. Period. Once Deuce starts actually running the offense Coach wants, he will be a better player. Until then, McCabe should be starting.
They have to teach Deuce and Taz to step into the arc and take a two point shot, or drive the ball and get fouled. Neither seems to be adept at a 3 pointer unless wide open, but they seem to be able to do the pull up jumper all day.
