They want to shorten the game now.

Make sure TCU has only two possessions in the fourth

Hard for them to score two TDs on 2 possessions when they haven't scored any on all previous possessions.
But if you give them 3 or even 4 things become different

How come we didn't try to throw a deep ball there? Maybe get a PI? And then TCU has a defense player slinging a ref around like a rag doll and no flag. Interesting.

Offense is just pathetic. Can’t blame Oline, giving Doege all time to throw it but he’s not making good decisions

When your QB has no arm strength, and is late on almost all of his medium level passes, TCU made those adjustments on defense at half and are bringing the house on every play now. Don't blame them.

What was the point on running the FG unit out there with 16 seconds on the play clock? Seems unnecessary to rush the play like that without advantage.

You beat me to it. The kicker needs time to line things up to his liking. I don't think it's a coincidence that a play like that was Legg's first miss. It's like they keep the offense out there to keep TCU guessing and then rush the defense out at the last second so they can run a few more seconds off the clock. It's not worth it. Take the time to kick the FG right.

Great game. WVU looked good. It's really nice to see the WRs have a good game.

I wonder what all they lose on defense next year. I think Fields and the oldest Stills is gone and I think the younger Stills might be good enough to leave early for that NFL. Those would be three big losses.

I bet Dandy Don Nehlen was smiling when WVU ran a draw on 3rd and 9 and picked up a 1st down. I still remember when WVU had a 3rd and 41 against Maryland and ran a draw to Zereoue and he picked up 42 for the 1st down.

Probably should have went for it. That late in the game, should have looked at worse case scenarios. TCU had blocked two kicks last week. No need to risk that on a 4th and 6. Go for it. Throw it to the end zone, see what happens.

24-6 some people just aren't happy people.

Different day.
CFB isn't supposed to be on during the weekend of The Masters.
But it was a decent performance.

Like I said I there is enough for WVU to give OU a challenge in two weeks when you take in account all factors.

Take in the factor that WVU has a week off and Oklahoma plays Oklahoma State. Need to work on penalties on O-line. To beat OU need to be able to slow their run game and get pressure. Make Rattler earn his yards.

No matter how good WVU plays it still will not be easy to win. Going to have to make their own breaks.

WVU could end their season if Oklahoma State hasn't already.

Have to take advantage of the holes up front when they start stunting.
Especially because their secondary still has issues tackling because they are trying to create turnovers.

An overall good game doesn't mean every decision was good. Sure the odd decision to scramble out the FG unit with 16 seconds on the play clock didn't hurt us and was one of very few questionable calls. Still curious as to what we hoped to gain by making it look like we might go for it before trying the FG. I could understand if it was for a punt so as to maybe catch them w/o their return team on the field to increase the chance of pinning them deep. However a makeable 40 yard FG? Maybe they were afraid of TCU's FG block unit?

Maybe you should call in and ask the coach. Probably would get the answer to your question then. My call would have been Kick the FG. But the 16 seconds You will have to ask him.

I think brown is really building something. Special teams need a little work and some consistency with the offense week to week. But im really excited about the future.

It appears that we are getting BETTER and not worse, unlike under our previous head coach. We flat out blew the Texas Tech game. Completely our fault. Texas game.....couple of calls that went against us, plus a couple of 4th down calls.....one was a drop in the end zone.......and the other could/should have been a PI in the end zone.

I do worry a bit about our QB arm strength, but as long as LB keeps running like he is, it won't be a problem.

I agree about Doege's arm. Some of those floaters have me on edge as it seems like it takes an eternity to get to the receiver and is frequently in a position where a solid DB has a chance for the INT. He still seems to make good decisions on where to go with the ball though. Except that intentional grounding.

Iowa State game........at end of season, usually windy there......just saying, could be a HUGE disadvantage for our offense.

Question is can this defense stop Oklahoma’s offense in two weeks? I think it’s definitely our best chance at a “W” since joining big 12.

Unfortunately no one asked him in the post game presser. The more I think about it, the more I think the only possible logical reason is because he didn't want them to set up for a block given their 2 successful tries last week.

How do we not know that Brown wanted to see how the FG unit would perform with the clock running out at the end of the game with no time outs rushing out for the game winner?

On the draw play call, I remember Dandy Don calling a draw play to run out the clock in the first half vs State Pen and the WVU back ran it in for a long TD.
